Alright Liftblr. So here’s my “Hidden Booksafe Method”

Where to get hidden book safes:

I got mine on Amazon and it came with that cover. You can switch it out if you want.

If you’re going to DIY here’s some tips:

Leave the first few chapters in tact so you can open the book in the store and legit look like you’re reading the book.

I’ve heard that Goodwill has some used books you can buy/lift.

Make sure the book is big enough. My goal was a naked palette so I made sure the dimensions were big enough.

Tips on using it in the store:

 DO NOT DROP THE BOOK. If it falls and the compartment is exposed, I personally do not recommend staying any longer. The cameras have seen it and I wouldn’t want to worry about who saw it.

 Pretend to read the book. Or actually read it. Look at least a little interested

Use a bookmark to identify where in the book the compartment is. You don’t wanna look frigidity trying to look through your book. It looks sus.

 Whenever you’re ready to conceal, have your finger propping the book open a little to the compartment to make space to slip in what you’re lifting. When ready, in one swift motion, slip it into the book and close it. Rinse and repeat.

You can also open the book and pretend to read, while you slip your finger in and peal off any soft tags that are stuck to the box if you’re comfortable doing it before hand.

If you want, you can put the book in your purse and shake out what you’ve concealed to make room for more stuff in your book. Rinse and repeat.

How I Played it Off

I went in with my headphones on and my book open. The SA asked how I’m doing and I just said I was killing some time while my friend finished shopping next door. Explaining why I brought a book into the store.

So I was never bothered and not expected to buy anything. It also gave me an automatic reason for just leaving the store.
