dude i think it’s funny i was into snow on mount silver (SOMS) during one of the deadest seasons to like SOMS EVER (not to say there wasn’t some rlly cool posts and moots i made, just a vast majority of the fandom hype had died down). i was so desperate for blake content i was going onto bilibili, deviantart, and every random obscure corner of the internet scrounging for content, and looking up “snow on mount/mt silver” and sorting by “recent” on every social media and search engine 😭 then after 9 months of obsessing over SOMS i was like okay i’ve explored every idea i’ve wanted to explore with blake and it’s summer and it’s busy.. i think i’m ready to move on to a new chapter of my life
summer was snazzy, i did miss brainrotting at times, but i was content to be into other things (here’s a napkin doodle from work)
then summer ends and INSTANT BLAKE BEAM 💥💥💥💥💥 hypnos lullaby v3 drops and blake is in it (ik he’s gold but still) and suddenly everyone’s talking about him again and NOW THE FROSTBITE REMAKE TEASER DROPS HELLOOO?? LOL
my partner asked me “do you think you’ll get back into blake” after i went goofysilly over monochrome v3 and i told her “no, i think it’ll just be a one-off thing” but DUDE the food just keeps getting SERVED and seeing discussions about soms and getting new attention on my old blake stuff makes me so happy lol
i do think it was a good creative push in a way to be into SOMS during the driest period of the story’s fandom tho lol because it inspired me to make and post and encourage the art i wanted to see, so there’s that :P
i think this is most likely entirely FNF Lullaby’s fault for making the most popular depiction of Blake of Snow On Mount Silver fame completely out of the context of the original pokepasta , but when i see content of SOMS online i like , NEVER see anything about Angie ? the narrator ?
not a lot of pokepastas are written like SOMS where it gives a pretty in depth background [ at least in comparison to what we get from other pokepastas , like Lost Silver where the narrator just bought a random silver cartridge online , or Call of Charon where the narrator found a random Pokewalker on the ground of a bus one day ] for the people that the scary videogame stuff happens to , and i was very drawn to Snow On Mount Silver because i felt really bad for Angie and Blake ! seeing Angie be so affected by what happened to her little brother made me feel for these characters because i’m a sensitive guy ! it’s by no means a fantastic work of literature but i mean i can’t lie when i was really hooked by this when i first read it in ~2023 . i mean , in the vast majority of pokemon creepypastas , especially the most popular ones , we get NO names , but Snow On Mount Silver gives us TWO !
so i was pretty shocked when i hadn’t really seen anyone make a Pokemon - universe equivalent of Angie ! the most representation of Angie that i had seen was in the extended version of the “ Blake over Monochrome “ mod [ AKA Easter Egg Lullaby ] , and even then i think the drawings of her are just in the files if im remembering correctly . i don’t really know what my goal is with this rambly post but i do want to know if anyone else knows or cares about Angie . . ? i’d be hyped if she showed up in the Lullaby reboot but given how they’re fusing the stories of SOMS and LS i don’t think that’s gonna be too possible unfortunately , but a guy can can dream . . .

@saucelys HI i saw your tags THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENTS ON ANGIES DESIGN ! ! ! before i get into the easter egg lullaby stuff a quick ramble about my angie : i forget if ive mentioned this in a previous post or not but yes ! my Gold and his rival Silver's designs are based on the GSC designs and my Blake and his rival [ named Soul/Mars ]'s design is based on HGSS so yeah my Angie is based on Lyra ! ! ! im so glad that came across !

SOOOOO . . . i poked around the files of the mod a buuunch a few years ago and im looking through it again now and pasting as im going . The images i'm referring to being Angie are in a file called CartridgeGuy.png , which means she was meant to replace the cartridge guy in Lullaby who gave the player the Lost Silver cartridge . I think it makes most sense for this to be Angie based on everything but its more of a guess . but yeah !
while i'm here i'll include some other fun stuff in the files :
bfSouls.png , not sure if this was meant to be a sprite in the menu screen but it fits the style . looks like most of Blake's pokemon who died .
Freakachu is referred to in the files as either Creepachu or Screamer !
This is a loading screen titled " Loading Souls.png " and i absolutely love the art here , i'm a big fan of all of the art of this mod
There's three menu screen sprites of Blake that spell out " gotta be the very best " which kinda breaks my heart ugh i love this guy
in the songs folder , this is the only file for " Screamer "

i’ve been aware of creepypastas for years but i’m pretty much entirely interested in pokepastas [ at least currently ] and this is my first time REALLY interacting with the fandom firsthand [ besides Lullaby because that feels like a WAY different field ] so i appreciate the fandom history lesson ! i had no clue . . . :-O ! no worries about the explanation at all !
to be fair that makes sense . . . a lot of the protagonists in what i’ve read are just random bland inserts only making certain choices so that the reader can get to the spoooooky scaaary things . that’s partly why SOMS stuck out to me so much since the two main characters of that pasta [ Angie and Blake ] were more than that : they both had personalities that you could glean from the beginning portion of the pokepasta , Blake’s willingness to cheat and break his games and Angie telling him he shouldn’t and Blake proceeding to think she’s silly for caring about a bunch of pixels . there’s stuff there that can be expanded upon and would be super fun to be expanded upon ! that’s part of why i made the post i think . . . . . . . . hmmm
also ALSO also the au you mentioned . im so intrigued that sounds AWESOME ! ! ! Angie we love you Angie ♡ thank you for the compliments on her design too by the way ! ! ! she's warm toned because shes matchy matchy with Blake [ who's all oranges and blues besides the accents of a bluish black in his prosthetics ] but she has more blue than him so she can resemble Kris a little bit ! She's meant to look more like Lyra because my Blake's design is based more on HGSS Ethan BUT she does have Kris elements . very important to me . ALSO about the clothes layering , most of my designs have outfits inspired by 2000's fashion because that's about the average decade between all of the pokemon games the characters in the project / au originate from , and layering is pretty common in that fashion . i'm very happy with how her outfit came out !
this is already a super long post but under the cut im gonna ramble a bit more about my characterizations of Blake and Angie for anyone interested :-D also because typing this up got me thinking . . .
soooo thinking on it more , Angie being in my pokepasta project [ All Together ] definitely influenced my Blake's personality . He pulls a lot more from the human Blake than the depictions and characterizations of PokeBlake i've seen , especially since he's fully recovered from the frostbite during the time the main story takes place . He likes to do what he wants to do and doesn't usually take no for an answer , he's arrogant and prideful because of how strong he and his team are [ but working on improving that mindset ! ] which is what led him to hiking up Mt Silver , and he likes to tease his friends and whoever else he's close with even though he does truly care a lot about them . He's got this stereotypical teen - boy - trying - way - too - hard - to - be - cool personality but that's more of a front that he puts on . i think it used to be far more genuine but after what happened with all of his pokemon getting frostbitten , part of that wasn't really ever the same . . .
" i think " and hes literally my reinterpretation of the character ok
as for my PokeAngie , she attempted the gym challenge before anyone else in the main cast did [ besides the Reds ] and actually failed . she never got past the first gym so she decided to take up something still pokemon - related , yet a lot gentler than battling [ i settled on pokemon breeding partially because of pkmn breeding and baby pokemon being introduced in Gen 2 and partially because in an earlier version of AT she was raising a pokemon egg ] . she mostly sat back and watched as Blake went on his gym challenge and constantly set his heights higher and higher and did riskier and riskier stuff , telling him this stuff was unsafe [ especially after they both had heard about what happened to the Johto Champion before Blake: Gold ] , but Blake never listened and instead relished in how strong he felt . Angie definitely does have self esteem issues in AT because she 1. failed her gym challenge , 2. feels inferior to Blake considering all of his achievements compared to hers , and 3. she failed to keep Blake safe !
i'm skimming through SOMS rn as i type this to make sure im not going too out of line with my interpretations of these two and there's this one line that's really intriguing me regarding this . . .

ugh i gotta make these 2 more doomed and upsetting in AT . additionally , pulling some characterization ideas from the narrators of the characters' respective pokepastas is a good idea . . . . . . . .
