I didn't really have many strong opinions on her at the beginning tbh not because i found her to be boring or anything but because she seemed to be a quite straight foward character.. that did change drastically after i watched a playthrough of the new Chapter 5 Snowgrave though i feel like it recontextualises a lot of the interactions before it even in the normal route, i think what Noelle really needed to go from a good to a fantastic character was to have some Wendy Torrance shit happen to her
As for Dess i'm a much bigger fan of the interpretation of her not being a particularly good role model for neither Noelle nor Kris, i'm a even bigger fan of pieces of fanart where she comes across as unsettling or even scary at times, she's a kid from a complicated household who's found herself in the midst of things that no one let alone a teenager should be messing with, lord knows i was already dealing badly with teenagehood WITHOUT all the bullshit this town has going on i can't imagine going through all that shit while Wing Ding Gaster might be at your fridge

Pet peeve but i honestly get so annoyed when someone makes a post along the lines of "i'm tired of allonormativity in fandoms two characters can be friends and not lovers and still care for each other" and someone responds with "yeah ! they can be family !" that's not what the post says. the post said friends. they can be friends. you don't need to be family to care about someone either you can be friends. he's not their fun uncle and she's not his caring mother and they're not their older sibling they're friends who protect each other and are there for each other. placing platonic love below family love still isn't better than placing it below romantic love you are still acting like a familial bond is somehow stronger than "just" being someone's friend
Saying "they're just like family <3" to two non-related fictional characters not to imply they "care more about each other than friends could" but to imply that they have the short of relationship that only a unitentionally abusive and manipulative mother and her older queer daughter that still go out and have icecream and laugh at each other's jokes sometimes could have

Some character designs were never made to be squeezed into the base templates of those "Make A Marketable Plushie Of Your Character !" websites to be sold in mass to an audience who are only a few steps away from being Funko Pop collectors and instead were made to be painstankingly built by hand by a few freaks in their basements making dolls out of old t-shirts and stuffing them full of wall insulation

I imagine that the addisons, being literal embodiments of advertisements, follow a strict code of making themselves appear as marketable as possible, that includes their appearances (slim, often tall, eye-catching colors) aswell as their personalities and behaviour (bright smiles, always welcoming, pushy but not too much !)
Spamton is an outcast on both appearances and personality, he's short, fat, baby-faced, laughs too loud, feels too strongly and his desire for self expression and individuality is less than marketable to say the least (if not outrageous); the addisons however forgive him for this, he's just like them after all ! Just a little... unlucky
Although not purposefully malicious (for the most part..) the addisons are incredibly toxic in their friendship in various different ways:
Pink often uses Spamton as a emotional booster, using his poor sales as an exemple whenever she feels bad about her own, it's nice to have someone around who, no matter what, will always be worse at things than you !
Yellow claims to be Spamton's friend however only hangs out with him because her other friends, who she likes more, hang out with him; never taking initiative to start conversations and mostly observing from afar due to not having much in common
Orange, although genuinely fond of Spamton, also sees him as a personal pet project, one she can "fix" and eventually turn into the perfect little ad (for her own store of course !)
Blue, being much more passive in her behaviour than the others, is still a massive enabler, turning a blind eye to any harmful actions out of fear of confrontation and because it's easier than speaking up
In the end Pink angrily cuts ties out of jealously as her emotional booster now only makes her feel worse about her sales, Orange feels betrayed that her pet project no longer relies on her, Yellow follows her friends out the door and Blue finally takes action only to do so too late...
