I've been considering this for a while but decided I would take the matter to a poll.

I use the program Honeycam GIF editor to edit my posts. There's a feature included in this program that I've neglected to mention but that I've noticed is used generally with no issue in other GIFmaking circles.

Below is an example of a GIF I edited on a sideblog of mine. Animation is originally by VIVINOS from the video Gyaru Talk. I'll use this GIF to compare options

This isn't necessarily what my watermark would always look like, I'd prefer it to match the colours of each GIF but this is just to show the capabilities of the program. You're also able to import images as watermarks, as seen here!

As far as I'm aware text watermarks are possible with Ezgif (most commonly used program) which is free (Honeycam is not), Photopea, and obviously Photoshop. That means this option could genuinely help prevent theft within the stim GIF community as opposed to us relying on what is essentially an honour system.

You can not prevent people from interacting with your posts or stealing your work just by telling them not to do it. If anything, this tends to embolden people who don't care about your boundaries.
