Lore drags Nora into an abusive quasi-D/s relationship but she still doesn't get laid. They find Hugh and Lore starts his cybernetics experiments but is, as is shown in canon, not good at it. He convinces Nora to be his guinea pig by telling her that he can give her the ability to understand all languages- but she ends up deaf and blind.

Eventually, while Nora is essentially trapped alone in her room, Lore finds Data and the events of Descent begin to unfold. Data finds Nora alone in her room and she doesn't realize it's him until he starts signing into her palm a la Miracle Worker. Data is conflicted about Lore's actions.

Climax. Data destroys Lore's Borg gang. Nora attacks Data when he deactivates Lore. Data is forced to kill Nora.

Data goes back to Starfleet. Killed Nora and Lore. And he just gets to live with that- what's more, he has to live with the guilt of not feeling guilty for it.
