I am a proven cameraman and video editor, with a strong track record in digital conversions and distribution technology with good understanding of broadcast and VOD codecs and protocols. I am very passionate about my work and I am capable of working simultaneously on different projects in fast paced environments. I work well in teams but I excel in solo projects with great organisational and direction skills. Consistently complimented by my manager for positive working attitude and motivational spirit that have a positive effect on the team. In my last job I was responsible for a number of key roles including: • Producing, Filming, Editing, Colour Correcting, Grading, making Motion Graphics for commercials, broadcast, corporate and videos for web. • Upgrading edit suites to new systems including installing new servers, making decisions on the appropriate software and plug-ins in order to enhance, streamline and speed up the turnaround times from filming to final delivery. • Introduced and trained other editors in proper editing and colour correcting techniques • Encoding and transcoding videos for DVD, Blu Ray, VOD, making flash and H264 links for progressive downloads and stream, as well as doing quality check on all stream videos. • Introduced a Telestream Episode for Mac and Harmonic’s Rhozet-Pro Media Carbon for Windows software encoder that gave better results and faster encoding times, as well as pushed for H264 video compression format both as a stream and as a Flash or Quick Time progressive download I am confident that with my skills and experience I will contribute greatly to your organisation as the Audio Visual Specialist.
