Sara and Marla from Harvest Moon 3.
bratty-blonde-and-beautifulsaid: *Takes a moment to glare at the girl, clearly not going to take responsibility for hitting her with her bag* Excuse me! Maybe /you/ should watch where you’re going!
*Scowls at the girl. It was bad enough she wasn't going to apologize. Folds her arms and speaks evenly* Clearly you hit me with that stupid bag of yours. *Makes a show of cracking her knuckles* But if you want it to be my fault that can be arranged.
*Walking through the halls to her first period class when her large pink rabbit backpack smacks against Sara's side*
*Staggers a bit from the size and weight of the backpack smacks into her. Pauses for a moment, looking for the culprit, the same prissy blond girl from the camping trip. Wonders briefly if she did it on purpose, before glaring at her and calling out* "Oi, It's bad enough that your taste is so gaudy, but try to at least be smart enough to know how to walk correctly without slamming into people."
Coworkers || Chelsea & Sara
Sara wiped her freshly washed hands down on her jean shorts as she stepped out of one of the back rooms of the Valley Pet Shop. There wasn't much for her to do today. When she applied for the job she made sure to list all the prior experience she'd had with animals, but, still being new, her boss had left her with pretty menial work. Sanitizing tools between check-ups, bringing in whatever animal her boss asked for, tidying up around shop, familiarizing herself with the animals. It sounded like a lot, but she'd gotten done pretty fast. Now she wandered around the main room of the pet shop, sticking her fingers in cages to stroke hamsters, lizards, birds, and mice. She got bit or scratched a couple times, but it didn't stop her from moving on to the next animal to do the same.
It was the most she'd been surrounded by animals since she came to this miserable school, which was exactly the reason she applied for the job, but it still felt sort of sad. Sara liked her animals roaming fields and forests rather than confined in cages. Still, it was better than nothing. Though, she could not completely get away from the presence of the school. There was a girl a little older than her working the register, one she'd seen around campus from time to time. Sara took no further notice of her, though. She wasn't there to make friends. She was there to work around animals and that was all. She didn't plan for any further fraternization, especially with schoolmates.

When day meets night || Lyla & Sara
Moving into a new dorm every year was a little scary for Lyla, just for the simple fact that she would be meeting a new face and the same questions would present themselves. ‘Would she like me?’ was one thought in her mind. ‘Would we get along?’ was another. ‘What kind of things would she be into?’ was the final one before she reached over to turn the knob in hopes of meeting her roommate but as faith would have it she wasn’t there yet. Taking a deep breath she figured this would be a good time to at least calm herself down and get herself settled in first.
The dorm was different from her previous one, it was much more roomier and more separate, almost as if her and her roommate would be on two different sides. Tucking a few strands of pink hair behind her ear she decided that she would let her roommate pick the side she would like first just to be polite. In the mean time she would start to get herself settled in at least in the closet and setting up her computer and desk. One thing though that she always did do when she got a new room, was to set up some of her flowers. Her trademark.
Sara came to the door of her new dorm and frowned. Why she was being moved, she didn't know. Why they had given her a roommate when previously, miraculously, she had gone without she didn't know either. All she did know was that the arrangement was an inconvenience to her. She didn't like other people in general. Much less other people in her personal space. What good was having your own room if you had to share it with someone? Especially a stranger. It defeated the purpose. "Ugh," The brunette rolled her eyes and pushed her bangs out of her face. Well, enough standing out here staring at the door like an idiot. She might as well just go in an hope they hadn't placed her with anyone too incompetent.
Strangely enough, the moment she set inside there was a light floral fragrance. Her roommate, a girl with long pink hair and a kind smile, was already there and still seemed to be mostly unpacked. As long as she leaves me alone, I'll be fine. Sara stood awkwardly in the doorway a moment, unsure of whether to formally acknowledge the other girl's presence or go on and claim her side of the room since it didn't seem like the other girl had made a choice yet. She ended up giving the girl a terse nod accompanied by a sort of low grunt before bringing her things to the bed on the left side, farthest from where she was.
As she wordlessly crossed the room, her eyes lingered for a moment on the flowers. That was where the smell was coming from. Her roommate must have set them up before she came in there. Instinctively, she frowned at the assumed attempt to make the dorm seem more 'homey', but the scent of them reminded her of earth and the flowers her father had helped her plant in the window boxes of their house and made her yearn even more deeply for home. These pale, tired things couldn't hold a candle to the vibrant blossoms her father coaxed from the ground. They were doomed to die in such a lightless environment.
Procrastination || Michelle & Sara
She was seated for only a few seconds before she really took notice of the girl she was sharing the shade with. She didn’t look directly at her, glancing out of the corner of her eye. Even still, Michelle could tell that the girl didn’t look a bit pleased. What was with her? She was just staring at her. No. Michelle wasn’t that vain. This girl was undoubtedly glaring at her. It almost made Michelle a little irritated. She was reading in a public space, for cripes sake. Did she carve her name into the tree and claim it as her own? Maybe there was something wrong with her… Well, whatever her problem was, it was making Michelle uncomfortable. Normally she liked stares, but this was not the same.
The pinkette brought her legs up so that she was sitting with her legs crossed, and she could rest her elbow on her knee. She leaned forward and rested her chin in the palm of her hand. And, she was still glaring. She wasn’t going to move. There were other trees, but the other ones were occupied as well with other students and their friends. They were all being obnoxious, and Michelle wasn’t feeling that at the moment. Michelle sighed, twisting her neck only slightly so that she could make proper eye contact with the girl.
“Don’t mind me.” She commented, raising her eyebrows and slightly lowering her usual high-pitched voice. After reading the situation she realized that her normally cheery personality probably wouldn’t go over too well with this girl. She would be fine sounding as exhausted as she felt. “I’m just taking a break from unpacking.”
Unfortunately, just glaring at the girl wasn't enough to get her to go away. Couldn't she tell when people just didn't want to be bothered? Not that she was really actively bothering her. No one on this campus really tried to actively bother her, but somehow every little thing managed to anyways. At least in the school back at home people knew to stay away from her. At least then she could go back to the comfort of her own home at the end of the day instead of being stuck here. Goddess, she hated it here.
She was no longer completely focused on glaring at the girl and was just glaring in general, her scowl deepening as she thought more and more about how much she hated being here. Lost in thought, it wasn't until the other girl spoke that she realized she was still staring. She took a moment and managed to smooth most of her expression down into an disdainful frown. "I mind." She stated simply, looking her square in the eyes. There was plenty of room around the tree for them both to sit without even having to see the other, but Sara, in her bad mood, did not particularly want to share any of her space with anything or anyone that reminded her that she was still at this infernal school.
((Hey, if anyone wants a starter with Sara feel free to like this or shoot me a message and I'll write one up 8'D ))
Procrastination || Michelle and Open
The thing with moving back to school that Michelle absolutely hated was the whole deal with unpacking. It was just so monotonous and it definitely wasn’t what she wanted to be doing on her day off. The sun was shining, and it was probably going to set soon, so why should she waste her time on something that she could easily do when she got home that evening?
And that was precisely her reasoning as she walked out of the Aquamarine dorms. She felt so tired from the move, all she wanted to do was relax and people watch for the last part of the day. There was usually something entertaining going on or some dumb skateboarders to watch on campus. With that thought, she sat down on the ground under the shade of a large tree. Hopefully something would happen that would make this tedious day worth it.
Sara hated having to return to the school. Point blank. She hated having to leave her island and her farm and her animals and her father all over again. The dreaded thought of coming back ruined every visit and she was always moody when she arrived back to the dorms. She hadn't taken much care in unpacking her things, instead setting her battered old rucksack (her father had given her a new one, but she had yet to make the transition, preferring the worn leather look of her current one) on the bed and picking up one of the books that always littered her desk. Maybe if she went outside to read she could procrastinate facing the fact that she was once again stuck here.
She had taken root underneath the shade of a tree out in the courtyard and vacantly staring at her book and mechanically turning a page now again, more sulking than actually reading. Sara was not so absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn't notice when a girl with bright pink curls took a seat somewhat near her under the tree. Not wanting to be bothered, but also too stubborn to move since she was here first, she ended up simply glaring at the girl while she decided what to do.
