zero fucks given.
Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston Teaser
I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:
you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.
a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!
raise your hand if you still have brainrot about a show that isn't airing

no one talks about how straight up painful it is to be the bigger person when deep in your soul you just want to be a huge bitch about it
um...
someone tell OP i did it, i spent about 3 hours on it
I am a huge fan of retiring to my quarters
In this economy you'll be lucky to retire to your nickels
VD. an incredibly tiny black and white puppy grabs the dangling lead line of a brown horse. she then pulls on the lead line, and the horse willingly walks with her as she runs over to her owner, who while laughing says in a strong irish accent, "well done, good girl." End VD.

yes
Guys. Guys. Do you ever think about the funeral boats merlin made for freya, lance and arthur?
Freyaâs boat was covered in soft green grass, like she was being gently laid back into a quiet meadow one last time. It looked so peaceful.
Lancelotâs boat was overflowing with flowers, it was heartbreakingly beautiful as it floated away.
But when it was Arthurâs turnâŚ
Merlin couldnât do it.
Arthurâs boat was just the plain, ordinary straw one. No grass, no flowers, nothing at all.
Merlin was so devastated he didnât even have the heart or the energy left to decorate it. He loved Arthur so much, more than anything in this world . He just stood there on the shore, watching that bare little boat carry the man he loved most down the river with nothing but straw.
Because what do you do when the person you loved most in the world is suddenly gone? what do you decorate that with? what could possibly be enough?
I donât think Iâll ever be okay again.
it means so much to me that rocky's lead puppeteer james ortiz got to voice him and got like. full billing right next to ryan gosling in the opening credits. and he's gotten to do interviews and red carpet appearances and talk about puppetry and it's all being taken so seriously just like he's any other type of actor. gonna make me cry fr. like they could have gotten some famous person to be rocky's voice to try and pull more star power but. they went with the guy who acted him. and like of course they did. like there he is. how could they do anything else. he's right there and he's perfect
âWhy donât you use aiâ idk man beyond the obvious environmental and âthis machine causes psychosis and encourages people to kill themselvesâ thing I think asking the equivalent of a solid D student who is also a pathological liar if they can answer my question/do the work for me seems pretty fucking stupid
Iâm blessing you with restful sleep and a slightly lucky day for tomorrow. You donât have to do anything for it, you just got lucky seeing this :)

I'm gonna cry. Work laptop had a forced update. Fine. Closed things.
Forgot to close word
Can't find document I was updating. It was at least half done. Now it's gone.
I think I should get to curl up under my desk the rest of the day.
Booktok controversy that's broken containment: a writer told one of her friends the concept for a book, and he took that concept and AI-generated a book based on it and then gifted to her like 'there you go, sweetie, you're welcome ;)'
BRO WHAT.
OMG, I'm watching a video about this, and it's even weirder. That wasn't even a friend, it was a rando who saw her tiktok talking about the concept and randomly emails her this AI-generated book. That's even weirder.
And then when she says she doesn't like it, and several NYT BESTSELLING AUTHORS who all happen to be women all explain to him why he's in the wrong, he talks down to them and doubles and triples and quadruples down. But then the moment the woman's husband gets involved, he immediately apologizes to "him and his wife." Just breathtaking levels of misogyny.
He wanted credit SO HARD for doing basically NOTHING. Worse than nothing! He wanted headpats so hard that when she ignored his email he hounded her to respond publicly.
He's like a microcosm of everything that's wrong with people who use AI to generate stories.
He was talking about releasing the shit he generated with the idea he STOLE FROM HER for free if she continued not responding to him, and then acted like she was being insane when she clarified that she didn't respond on purpose đđđ What goes through these people's heads!!!!!!!!!
Something profoundly wrong with this dude and yet he's incapable of noticing.
