I will remember all the kisses from today. I know that.

I don’t know. It was… different. There weren’t any fireworks or music, but it was… different.

Movies versus reality. One day, those characteristics you’d been looking for will come by when you meet the right one.

Wasn’t it an undelightful first kiss? 

I don't know. It was... different. There weren't any fireworks or music, but it was... different.

Sarang had to attend to several other things, but she always found herself making reasons to wonder back to Jaehyun’s room. He even ended sleeping longer than she expected and her shift ended before he awoke, so Sarang changed out of her work clothes and sat in a chair in the room. Soon, she to fell asleep under the humming noise of the machines.

The agony was here and there, but slumber dominate his tired system perfectly at ease that evening. He was indeed in a deep sleep however, those usual dreams he had was nowhere to be found. Jaehyun had thought while sleeping— having no dreams nor nightmares are more frightening than ever. He woke up few hours after. The sun was already up in the sky, and a few sun rays had poked inside his room. Jaehyun slowly rubbed his eyes, and looked around. Surprise rest on his face for a quick second when he saw the doctor on his room again. 

She awakens at his moments and bows her head quickly and pushes back her stray hairs. "Good morning. Are you feeling better?" she asks him as she covers her reddening cheeks with her palms. She couldn't let go of the thought she had slept alone in a room with a man. She reminded herself he was a patient, and she must have embarrassed him. "I must have fell asleep, I'm sorry."

"Just sleep, and I will be here when you wake," she almost whispers to him as she lowers his bed. "I’ll be there to tend to the pain because no one wants to stay at a hospital." She presses her hand to his face and smiles brightly. "You’re already cooling. Get some sleep."

Will be here when he wakes up. Those heave words sounded calm and frightening. Jaehyun had always been careful with his feelings however, that exact moment, he was sure to sense his heart sank. He has no concrete reason behind it. It just does. Maybe he was touched by the doctor’s care for him— but aren’t all those doctors are caring? Nevertheless, it was frightening. He’s not used to people “caring” for him. Jaehyun return a simple nod, and rest his body on the bed finally. He closed his eyes, and with that silence, he slowly falls asleep.
