Maybe we will be that constant memory in the mind of the other that reminds us that sometimes life does not let you have everything you want.

Maybe we will be that love that could be, but that for good or for bad had an expiration date.

Maybe we will think of each other for life, with the innocence of our first kiss, or the rides in the car when we just wanted to talk, with the living feeling of nostalgia and the knowledge that we were good for each other until we got full of toxicity.

Maybe we will face our present and our future with a more experienced heart, our clearest ideas and our most vivid feelings.

Maybe later in our lives we’ll get to meet again, even for a moment, and we’ll smile, because we will know that our past in common, even if it is not a shared present, gives us a future of tranquility.”
