Again, Sarah tried rounding up her daughter to no avail, the girl apparently far more interested in the collection of vehicles and crafts stuffed into the unofficial Alexandrian headquarters than she was paying attention to her mother. With an irritated sigh, Sarah let it go for right then and continued approaching Cal instead, figuring it was soon to be his problem. "Alrigh', I gotta run but everythin' she needs should be in her bag. If you notice anythin' —" Sarah cut off, looking up for the first time since she'd found Cal, only to discover it wasn't actually her ex at all. "Aaand you're not the father of my child. Brilliant." The full brunt of her exhaustion seemed to hit her then, Sarah pinching the bridge of her nose in frustration. "— Is Cal in? He said he would be here."

Having only arrived the day previous, Sarah left Kira under Felix's care, taking to the streets of Alexandria to play detective. She didn't care how welcoming the leaders presented, or how surprisingly nice the guards had been — she was sure it was only a front for Kira's sake, and she wouldn't keep her daughter in a place that wasn't truly safe, even with all the mutts outside. The Rebels might've saved the nation, but they weren't necessarily stable, and she didn't trust people who advertised their location to anybody who could listen.
