i think by the very basic definitions of appropriation, wearing a bindi to strengthen your third eye would be appropriating! im sure there are more internal ways to strengthen your third eye though. i am positive strengthening it comes from within :)

anon- i don't even know how to properly answer this but your ask made me really emotional. im glad i could give you some strength because i struggled with my darkness a lot. first of all, you are not ugly. ugly is a subjective term. and second, we don't need men (or others) to fulfill us and it seems like you already know this. i truly believe that beauty comes from within and to combat all of the dark comments i got i looked in the mirror every day and told myself I was beautiful and i started thinking positively and never letting negativity get into my head. and one day i really started to believe that i was beautiful and that my dark skin was beautiful. if you ever need anything please message me im here for you or anyone else.. i know being a dark skinned desi girl is hard.
