he was flirting with this girl and he was flipping his bottle to try and seem cool and he accidentally hit himself on the face with the bottle it was actually hilarious  😭 😭

picture this: Sophmore year of high school- the byers have just moved to a little small town, Will's mom wants to see everything, so she takes him and El to the touristy places there. They go to a nature reserve, Mike workers there and sees him (his coworkers are Max and Robin, so he does NOT get a break whenever he does something stupid, which is all the time) and he has a little gay panic breakdown, and Will sees Mike and has a little gay panic breakdown, and El is annoyed of seeing him being too shy to go and talk to Mike so she drags him to Mike and asks him a question, and Mike (in all his stuttering blushing glory) somehow answers, and it gives Will confidence to start a convo. El does the annoying sister wingman giggle and eyebrow thing and walks away, and then we see Mike embarrass himself by doing the water bottle thing I saw today. That's the first time they see each other.

Mike thinks he messed up and he also forgot to get Will's number, so him and Max and Robin have schemed a plan to talk to him in school if Mike doesn't see Will again in the summer (that's very unlikely, their town is miniscule). (They're still teasing him about hitting himself on the face) However, the next day, Mike is getting ice cream with Lucas and Dustin and telling them all about the 'most beautiful guy he's ever seen' and who is his cashier/ server/ wtv ice cream ppl are called but the one and only Will?

Lucas and Dustin, being the semi normal (more normal than Mike, at least) people that they are, invite Will to sit with them whenever he has his break. Will sits with them, they talk, Mike is awkward blah blah, and when Will leaves, he realises he once again forgot to get his number.

Edit: just finished chapter 4 and oh wow they FREAKY but I find it intriguing 😭😭lol mike can't imagnie doing this with someone else wills his best friend RIGHT BEST FRIENDS
