The closest one here is Quarritch and Rourke, and even that I don't think is the same. Quarritch was not planning to steal something that belonged to the Na'vi themselves, and the civilization wasn't in danger of being wiped out. Also, Quarritch is a lot more impulsive than Rourke.

Not to mention and no offense to OP. Atlantis is a better movie then Avatar with no Airbender. Avatar is every White man who falls for Native American woman (i.e. Pocahontas, Dances with Wolves, etc...) with a failed environmental message. Plus it's almost like Avatar is coping the show Avatar the Last Airbender. The first movie was about the land and saving it (i.e. the 'earth benders') the second one was about water and saving the whales (so the 'water benders'.) And the third movie ass and fire was about well....fire so the 'fire benders' of the movie. And with the announced 4th movie, I'm gonna guess it's gonna be about air pollution or the 'air benders' of the land.

But yes, Atlantis is a much better movie.

Oh I understand that bender is a bit of a stretch but I meant the elements in general. 1st one was about the land (earth element) the second one was about water and saving the whales (water element) 3rd one was or had fire in it (fire element) and if my prediction is correct, the 4th movie might be about air pollution. (Air element) and apparently there are talks about a 5th movie (though I don't know how true that is.) And if there is a 5th movie, will it be about Love? Like in the movie 5th Element?

I was just thinking the same thing op. The Fandom has such amazing stories that are abandon because there isn't a whole lot of activity in the Fandom. Maybe if Disney (a capitalist corporation) actually did more to capitalize on Atlantis (such as offering more merch then the super little there is.) Maybe the Fandom would be more active. But sadly Disney would rather pump out slop (the crap from the last 10-15 years) then take risks.
