Rhae once told Maekar that one of her school friends always has cute lunches made by her mom, and she was both jealous and upset bc hers were made by a chef, and that made Maekar mad because his kid is not going to feel worse than other kids, so since then he's packing Rhae's lunch by himself, like stars cut from cucumbers, cute note and all that jazz. Rhae loves it, even tho it looks kinda crappy 😭 (listen, Targs are rich, I imagine Maekar just has a guy to prepare lunch for the kids since he's too busy to do that? I also think Dyanna used to do that herself for the older kids but she passed away so...)

Egg has a crush on his classmate, Betha (yes, Blackwood) and instead of asking anyone in his family for dating advice he keeps watching Dunk trying to awkwardly flirt with Tanselle, then Aerion trying to violently flirt with Dunk and then also Lyonel trying to throw himself at Dunk. he writes that all down on his "don't do that" list because they're all embarrassing

their school actually hates Maekar and his kids... every single time Maekar pulls up to a parent-teacher conference or to the directors office whole staff is trembling bc he's like full-karen mode, defending his chud kids like a lioness (only kid that hasn't embarrassed him is Aemon, with Daella and Egg together in second place. the other three are crazy... and who's fault is that?)

Aerion keeps saying that he hates his younger siblings and that their parents should've stopped at two (but also give Daeron away), but every time Rhae asks him to, he does watch either horror movies or some true crime stuff with her, and then they walk away and pretend it didn't happen (it does happen every week. they're both like evil labubus but Rhae is way cuter...)

this time a mostly Maekar related post

back in his youth he was a nerd with a mysterious aura around him (sulking), always trailing behind his older brother, and actually quite many people had a crush on him, but he ignored them bc he had eyes on Dyanna only (she was the one who asked him out bc he was too shy and flustered)

he was always defending Rhaegel from bullies despite being quite short and thin back when he was starting high school, he was often ending up in detention or at director's office explaining himself, much to their parents disappointment (Rhaegel would always tell him to ignore his bullies, but would also thank him and patch Maekar up after every fight)

he was good at fencing, much like Aerion, but he didn't really enjoy it, he only did that because he was told to and Baelor was also on the team, he's also great at playing piano but doesn't do that as much as he used to (only if his younger kids ask him to play with them)

Daeron was a happy little accident when Maekar was 16-17, so later him and Dyanna got married quickly, then Aerion happened like two years later, and then they had a break to get a degree 😭 (yes, both their parents were mad, but they could afford two kids because Targs are rich)

he has a tattoo but hides it from his children, because it's stupid and he did it as a dumb 18yo, he also had piercings in his ears but ultimately took them out when he went to college to look more professional and put together (I could imagine him changing his whole look to represent the family better)

he was very passionate about fashion, even designing his own things, something which connected him with Dyanna because she was an excellent painter, but then life happened, the family company had issues bc of their grandfather's illegitimate children, so Maekar buried his dreams and chose to study law to help the company better just in case something else would go down with them (he's the youngest, so he thought this way he'll get his father's praise and attention, even if only for a brief moment)

he's kinda multitasking with his career, he's helping Baelor with their family company, advising him on legal matters, protecting their legacy from unfair deals, but he's also just a great lawyer, one of the most wanted in the region, he's often rough, scary even, but when he's working the case you kinda know you won (I'm not sure if he would have his own law firm or just work in the Targ company and agree to take interesting cases, I'm no lawyer guys so idk how it works)

as for Dyanna, maybe she was doing like environmental studies? talking about planet, climate change, animal going extinct? like she would travel around the world, researching how the world is changing, trying to find more ecological solutions? but I'm not sure about it, and also, Dyanna was an excellent painter and later in life Maekar bought an art gallery for her (which after her passing landed in Daeron's hands, with Maekar's help ofc)

he's kinda a helicopter parent who's also failing to be one? like he did his fair amount of mistakes and tries to protect his children from doing the same, but he fails a lot and at the same time he feels like he's pushing his kids away, especially looking at Daeron who barely made it through high school and no rehab centre could help him, and little Egg who would rather spend time with strangers than his family, then Aerion who's trying to follow in his footsteps, study law, but at the same time is hiding his real self (the secret band thing but also his cruelty) and Aemon who's made himself so busy with extracurricular activities that he's barely home (only Daella and Rhae are home at his side, but the girls are always together so does this count?)

Daella is often live on TikTok, even tho Maekar definitely told her not to do that, and every time he appears on said live, even if only in the background, the views go higher and people on the chat are simping for him, much to Daella's horror (at some point people started to edit him)

do yall remember the "hear me out cake" trend? Daella and her friends are doing this, and one of the girls just pulls out printed out Maekar (basically this)

Aerion is beefing with Valarr

Daeron is bffs with Valarr

to add some context, Valarr and Daeron are college students, Valarr is in business or something similar, Daeron is in arts when he's not in rehab ig (despite Maekar's initial disapproval) and Aerion is finishing high school (as for his degree, he'd either follow in his father's footsteps as a lawyer or pick a major that would annoy him)

you think Aerion is the king of rage bait and manipulation? then you clearly haven't meet Valarr! he's was an excellent student in high school, now he's also great in college, everyone loves him, he's a gentleman, all nice and kind, and Aerion can't stand him (he thinks Valarr is stuck up and boring). Valarr knows what Aerion thinks about him, and when they're alone, he's switching into a little mean snake, straight up dissing Aerion, just to play nice the second someone else appears. it always angers Aerion, but he can't prove it, so he's just fussing and cursing at Valarr like a mad baby, and people think he's the crazy one (he still is.) (sorry this thought was just too funny)

Daeron knows what Valarr is doing with Aerion. he loves his baby brother, but he also had enough of his shit, so he pretends he doesn't know, and then he's secretly enjoying this shit show (until Aerion goes crazy and starts throwing stuff around)

Egg knows that Aerion is into Dunk, and he also knows that Dunk is sometimes oblivious to things, so he's working overtime to protect his new friend/nanny/coach from his weird crazy brother, like picking up a new extra activities that miraculously happen right during Aerion's band rehearsals (Aerion is always mad at Egg for basically cockblocking him)

Egg also dislikes Lyonel, and would really want Dunk to get with Tanselle so he can spend more time at theatre

Daella knows that Lyonel is into Dunk and she's lowkey shipping them, so she often tries acting like Lyonel's wingwoman, creating situations like making Dunk take her to a tournament or a practice, asking him to stay and watch because "her parents can't and she's so sad" while giving him puppy eyes (it always works, much to Egg's disappointment)

every month Maekar takes a day off to go fishing, except he hates finishing and is actually at a very nice spa like two towns away, so he can finally have a moment away from his pack of children (can he also be doing yoga like every Thursday?)

Maekar also has a secret hobby which is crocheting, but it's actually not that secret because both his daughters are also into that, so it's just between the three of them (they exchange ideas, new projects, etc)

Daeron would be into any kinds of art, painting, pottery, embroidery, much to Maekar's terror (he would push his 1st failson's art to galleries anyway, and after some time people would praise it) (he would do half of his art drunk, probably, and the other half during rehab)

Aerion lives a double life, acting all sweet when Maekar is around, but sneaking out in the night (he's in a secret underground band!!! he's playing guitar but also maybe singing idk if main or back vocals tho) (Maekar knows.)

Aerion is into fencing and he's also an excellent equestrian (he's into that because of their heritage, they have relations to royal family or sth)

Daella is a very talented dancer, she's in ballet class since she was a little girl, although she's very versatile, trying out new styles (her tap dance phase was a nightmare to the whole household)

Daella also has a tiktok account, where she's either posting some dances, doing some trends with her brothers (Daeron mostly, but also Egg sometimes) or making fun of her other brothers alongside Rhae (Aerion)

Egg really wanted to try out rugby, Maekar reluctantly agreed to it, Dunk is either his coach, or an assistant to actual coach (Arlan), he once saved Egg from some trouble and now he's kinda stuck being this kid nanny/bodyguard (Maekar hired him because Egg convinced him, crying and all that jazz)

Egg is a theatre kid, and he's often sneaking out to see the local theatre group (and Tanselle is in it!!!) (Dunk is often stuck picking him up from there, but he's enjoying it bc Tanselle) (maybe Rowan is also here, which makes Raymun tag along with Dunk&Egg, which makes Egg hang out with those embarrassing adults (he's there for the cool costumes and free food only))

Aerion HATES Dunk with burning passion but also wants him really bad and is very jealous of Tanselle, making sure her theatre rehearsals are on the same as his band's show so Dunk has to choose where to go and who to watch (there's probably a wild Lyonel Baratheon intertwined in this mess, maybe owner of a dance studio to which Daella goes, and he would meet Dunk bc he was asked to pick her up once)

Rhae is the most troublesome of all, but Maekar has a soft spot for her (that's his baby), she's been through many phases, once she was very into chemistry (inspired by aunt Shiera), and she definitely burned down the chem lab at her school by accident (or was it an accident?)

also Rhae definitely snuck out with Egg to see the theatre crew one time and she's been obsessed with Tanselle since then, saying that she wants to become an actress now (to huge relief of her father)

Aemon is the most civilised one, doing all the extra things at school, he's probably been a mathlete, a tutor to other students, helping out at the school library, even doing all the charity work possible, maybe he's the president of student council (he's actually trying to escape the Maekar House of Madness this way)

Maekar is a lawyer and also a damn good and well established one, he's just got the vibes yk, and he's also often helping Baelor at their family business (big ass corporation) because guys, he's a lawyer he knows all the law and he's a tough negotiator (he loves his big brother and WILL protect him from any misconduct)
