Yeosang and Yunho as mirrors
Ah so I think my initial theory that Yeosang and Yunho are connected, possibly as mirrors, is right. They've both interacted with Sopro, but it seems only Yeosang is aware and understands what it means while Yunho may not be fully or consciously aware or if he is, is in denial and fearful.
At the beginning of the Bad MV trailer. Yeosang is with the hypnotist, calmly admitting aloud (but muted to us) that he saw the red light (Sopro). It shows that he has a direct connection with his subconscious knowledge and Sopro.
While Yunho is within this other space, possibly his subconscious, he comes into contact with Sopro. At the very end of the trailer, he wakes in a panic in the same room Yeosang was in. However, he is alone, so it's possible he doesn't have that same direct connection/awareness now that he's awake.
When they are both in the empty space, Yeosang is completely bathed in red directly from the glow of Sopro, hovering above him with blue surrounding him while Yunho is surrounded by red but none of it touches him, instead he's bathed in the glow of golden hour. Yeosang sees Sopro by looking up directly at her while Yunho looks down and sees her indirectly through the cards.
This reminds me of how, in the concept trailer, both of them were wearing the most red, covered up with a black jacket, while the others only wear a hint of red on an accessory at most, if any. Yunho barely shows any red while Yeosang has a lot of it showing. This may be why Yeosang is isolated from the others while Yunho is not. They know something's up with him because he doesn't hide it and aren't sure what to do about him yet. Meanwhile, Yunho attempts to hide it from them.
The reason I originally felt that the two of them could be connected is that when Yeosang looks over to where Yunho is standing, the scene changes, and a door opens in front of Yeosang.
They're also the only two standing. Yunho stiff, while Yeosang, again, is relaxed and composed.
They differ similarly in the alternative space again. A door has just opened for Yeosang, letting the light in, while Yunho sits in the dark. The red Yunho's wearing is completely visible here, while Yeosang remains the same as before. Yunho looks nervous and anxious, trying to cover up the red object beneath him, while Yeosang remains composed. Again, it reflects his control and connection to this space. What he shows to the others is an exact reflection of who he is and what he knows, while Yunho is actively hiding something from them and fears being exposed.
Even though Yeosang and Yunho are connected, they're not on the same side. They are even similar, but opposite if we bring the iomt chess analogy back, Yunho is a rook, which can only move in straight lines, Yeosang is a bishop that can only move diagonally. Yeosang and Yunho are standing in the exact same row of tiles at the beginning of the concept trailer, meaning Yeosang is in Yunho's direct path of attack. However, there are several obstacles blocking him from acting, including Sopro at the center. Yunho sees Yeosang as a threat, but Yeosang does not see Yunho in the same way, as Yunho is nowhere near his path of attack and isn't even facing Yunho at the start. His path of attack is diagonally out the door he currently stands at the threshold of.
I think that of all the members, Yeosang has the most understanding of Sopro and is able to stay unchanged by the contact with her because of that knowledge. They both have a connection with Sopro, but Yunho fears her, making him easy to control (adrenaline mv). This is how Yeosang and Yunho end up diametrically opposed. I think the colors and distortions present for each member in the Bad MV trailer reflect how much they believe Yunho's lies and how far they are from accepting what Yeosang knows. blue=acceptance/peace, distortion=transition, red=truth/knowledge, blue w/o red=ignorance.
But what does Yeosang know? My theory is that he knows that golden hour is finally coming to an end and is ready to move forward. Yunho also knows this but is in denial and actively prolonging it by not telling the others and fears that Yeosang will convince the others, and bring about the inevitable. The other members are at varying stages of realizing and accepting it as well.
I think Yeosang and Yunho reflect the extreme ends of the dichotomy that the members are currently facing: knowledge/understanding/acceptance vs delusion/fear/denial.
