Capricorn the Late Bloomer

Capricorns are very much about soliciting their real place in the ‘real’ world. His gifts await in the realm of organization, pragmatism and ensuring efficiency found within the existing structures. Capricorns are a unique sign of the zodiac. This is partly courtesy of their curious tendency to ‘age backwards’. Considered ‘late bloomers’ in astrology, Capricorn people really burst into life when they can sit back and finally enjoy the revenue of many years of hard work. He wants to build something important in the world that stands as testimony to his dedication and effort, and becomes eternally illuminated when these projects finally see fruition. The comfort that comes with age is usually enough to free the Capricorn from his inborn feelings of responsibility, duty and unworthiness. By the time they are elders, Capricorns have the ability to really let go and delight in simple things in a childlike way.  

The Capricorn life is filled with many lessons leading to the attainment of will power. Their ruler, Saturn is a powerful ally that throws multiple, time consuming obstacles in his path, though Saturn, the alchemist always provides the promise of immeasurable success once these are overcome. The early life of the Capricorn seems harsh, with many conflicts arising not only with authority but also within himself. Typically reserved as children, he was scared of expressing his true feelings and emotions. Young Capricorns are eager to shoulder adult responsibilities and feel more comfortable around people older people, and will seek out friendships with people outside their peer group on purpose. Sometimes Capricorns only allows himself to express his inner child when he is almost too old to enjoy it.

In their 30’s, following the first Saturn Return, Capricorns finally begin to release hold of all the self imposed restrictions and limitations. He slowly allows himself to relax into life a little more and start growing into his own skin. The Capricorn youth can be plagued by the monologue of a vicious inner critic; the inner judge that is always quick to criticize and deliver a well timed reality check. As Capricorn ages, he learns to create that equally opposing voice. This is the voice that tells him how beautiful, intelligent and vital he truly is. With every birthday crossed off the years, the Capricorn becomes lighter, freer and truly blooms as the incandescent flower he is.

Capricorn - The Saturn Sage

Capricorn is one with the rhythms of earth’s equilibrium. The Capricorn world is harmonics. It’s like ticking clocks echoing in a hall of order, responsibility, and righteousness. Sagittarius has defined the spiritual law, and it is time for Capricorn to interpret physical law. Through this she catches a glimpse through the eyes of God and the highest potential he envisioned for humankind. It is important for the Capricorn person to form a perception of reality that allows her tremendous vision come to life. The individual wants to become as intimate with reality is impossible, but she first must answer what is reality? The reality Capricorn intends to implement is moral, regulated, and functional. Capricorn associates with God the Father, and in this way she feels a tremendous godly command, as if she is the guardian of all these children, responsible for realizing their prayers and establishing the lines of reality.

Capricorn dreams are idealistic and thread with practicality. The tapestry of ambition is weaved with inspiration, resolve, and high self expectation. Capricorn is all about directing the concrete mind into following her glowing aspiration through land, sea, education, labor, duty, and love to attain the most glorious threshold of ambition. There is something very sacred about Capricorn, and she is in a partnership of the highest order. She is here to display the most tremendous qualities of human beings and showcase the creative genius of God in action. Her dreams are channeled through from a higher source, and speak volumes about the tremendous sense of foresight she entertains. Capricorn is an endpoint in terms of how much we can achieve on this physical plane. But this cannot come without trauma or suffering. At the bottom of the mountain, Saturn’s reception can be shadowy, inflexible and melancholic. When the individual learns to ascend, that is, master the fearless pioneering spirit of Aries, the enduring repose of Taurus, the Gemini’s silver tongue, the resolve of Cancer, the rousing leadership of Leo, the structured intellect of Virgo, the Libra ability to join forces and negotiate, the Scorpio’s focused power, the broad vision of Sagittarius, the fascinating ideas of Aquarius and the adaptability of Pisces, the lamp of Saturn is revealed in the distance and the wizard of wisdom comes forward in gracious welcome.

Capricorn is said to be the most challenging sign to be born under. Life involves a high degree of seriousness, reprimand, and patience. It is the sign of the disciple and esoterically the sign in which Sun Gods and world saviors are born under. But Capricorn is also a sign of morbidity, and no such heavenly feat could be achieved without first walking through the hot coals of hell. Capricorn is here to physically build the images conceived in the soul. It is the manipulation of time, space, and material to create something useful. In this way they are the architects of life and form the contours of reality. The individual is forced to keep moving forward despite the harsh demands that emanate from someplace deeper. It’s like she is duty bound to create the world in which the spirit envisions. Capricorn is the resplendent servant who understands how to nurture and manipulate resources and minerals.
