I'm so excited!! A few months ago I commissioned Dark Knits Boutique to make me a corset for my suicune cosplay (designed by SunsetDragon) and I got to try it on yesterday and it's GORGEOUS! Now I gotta get my butt into gear and work on the rest! ❤️

Then vs now Okay sappy post alert! So I've been feeling pretty nostalgic lately. I've been cosplaying for 2 and a half years now and I'd like to share my thoughts. When I first started I didn't know how wigs worked I could barely do makeup aside from heavy dancer stuff and I was 10072619471x more self conscious than I am now XD my first dany cosplay (pictured left) I bought the dress from etsy and bought a fancy dragon from a talented artist, and used baby powder in place of a wig. For my new season 5 dany I got myself a proper wig and learned how to *kinda* do makeup, and sewed the dress from a pattern which I altered on my own! I commissioned the necklace from a wonderful cosplayer and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! (I wore those Dany's at the same convention just a year apart!!) My red dany was my own take on her Qarth dress but in Targaryen house colours, which was my first time working with worbla, stringing together beads and not going for screen accuracy. I got the dress online and used my wig and my trusty old dragon. Tell me 3 years ago that today I would feel beautiful and confident and sassy in my body, have the courage to change a cannon cosplay, and have made so many new friends I would have laughed in your face. I am so so so grateful for everyone who is been a part of my journey. I am proud of who I have become. Cosplay gave me an outlet to discover myself and learn how to be confident and I am honest to god floored by my own progress 😊 thank you for believing in me!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ now let's see what I can do next! So guys my take home message is believe in you! You got this! And don't forget to have fun! *pokes bottom pictures* (And shameless plug to: @youandyourmoon for being the best friend and con buddy a girl could have. @shaouais & Sam and Caity for including me at my very first con, I wouldn't be here without the support you all gave. @morgothiacosplay for being such a kind hearted soul and someone I look up to *cough cosplay senpai cough* and inadvertently pushing me to improve. And especially @dj-murasaki for making me become an actual tomato, being the first to see my beauty, and showing me what you see- I LOVE YOU)

Have I ever mentioned how much I love @murasakicosplayphotography ??????? Megan is a total doll and makes me look absolutely stunning even when I'm goofing off when I should be helping at her shoots.... 😇 Hehehe real cosplay photos to come but I HAD to share these! (Dragon by @niteowlworkshop)
