Yatagan Sword
Dated: 19th century
Culture: Ottoman
Measurements: overall length 26 inches (66.04 cm); blade length 18 ½ inches (46.99 cm)
The handle of the sword is made of walrus tusk, while the blade features two gold koftgari cartouches. Judging by the shape of the tip of the blade it is possible that the sword was longer and it may have been shortened. The scabbard has steel mounts with silver koftgari decorations on all the pieces.
