im so sorry to be coming back so suddenly but life caught up with me and i wasn’t able to keep up the blog. sammy has been doing well until recently, about a week ago i noticed he had fin rot so i immediately set up a quarantine tank & bought some aquarium salt and started trying to treat him. yesrerday he was alright and seemed to be getting better. things took a turn for the worst tonight. i realized he was getting really slow and i thought it might be his time. i stayed up with him until about 3:40am. sammy, my little grump, has swam on to fish heaven 💙

#its 4:25am and i still cant sleep #ive been crying for hours #i sat by the tank the entire time so he wouldnt be alone #i miss him so much #he was my first real pet even though he was a fish he was such a character :’)#i’m gonna miss his grumpy little face and how happy he got whenever i sat down at my desk #he’d just zoom to the front of the tank and stay there with me while i was at my desk #sammy boy i’ll miss you so much #18.12.2018 #bettablr #fishblr #betta fish #aquablr #petblr

y'all im freaking out !!!! there was a heat warning in my city these past couple of days so i check the thermometer & my tank water is too warm and i don’t know what to do !!!

i put some water from a bottle with 2 drops of water conditioner in an ice cube tray and i’ll try putting one in the tank when it freezes to try and bring the temperature down. i managed to get it down to just below the maximum line on the thermometer by lowering my blinds & opening the windows but i just checked again and its a bit over the maximum line & sam has become really slow and sluggish again and im really worried

#has anyone tried the ice cube thing where you put water with water conditioner in an ice cube tray & then put them in the tank when they #froze?? im going to put one or two cubes in the tank tomorrow i hope it works

#i googled it & someone put dechlorinated ice cubes in the water but then another site said that wasn't good ?????#if anyone knows what to do pls message me im pretty scared bc sam hasn't been eating during these really hot days as well #and im getting really nervous #i took the advice of one website to take the lid off to let it air out but im not sure it'll work #im hoping #fishblr #bettablr #betta fish
