MORNINGSTAR.

                    she looked as BEAUTIFUL as the first day he met her -- PROPERLY met her -- and each time he saw her, he only fell in love with her again, over and over, after finally putting a finger down on just WHAT it was that he felt for her. she was already beautiful with minimal makeup, if not at all, and when she DID -- pardon the saying but devil be damned -- she was breathtaking. she could’ve been clad in a baggy shirt and pajama pants and she would still be the brightest, most incandescent person in the room. but he didn’t just adore her for her beauty, no -- there were others who were surely more beautiful than she was. he loved her for who she was -- her bravery, her spunk, her determination, her good heart -- and she, likewise, did the same for him. and it was all of that that stirred the fluttering in his breast, elicited the fond smile that creased his features and wrinkled his eyes as he moved to rest his hands on her waist despite her chiding words. “i’m the devil, chloe. things like bad luck should hardly fall under things that i’m apprehensive about.” he paused to admire her makeup, the urge to seal their embrace with a kiss fighting to overcome him for a brief moment. “you look... simply gorgeous.”

                    lucifer immediately straightened from bending over to talk to trixie, the wad of dollar bills safely tucked away ( but so was the little urchin’s single ten dollar bill share ) upon accepting a bribe from him. gone, apparently, were the days of the child demanding chocolate cake! he glanced at chloe, pausing only for a brief moment before he whipped his head back at the girl, ( feigning ) aghast. “shame on you, little human! go and apologize to your mother this instant!” / @properprocedure
