Alright so we tried a new place named: Teppanyakibar. It is in a very busy street and the stores change a lot (I hope they stay there for a long time).

So first of all do not order the  Matcha latte If you are used to the real japanese Matcha latte! Seriously the pictures on the menu do NOT match the real deal at all and the colour is faint green. I need to learn that I need to say that they need to put more matcha powder in it because until now the non japanese restaurants who served matcha latte are putting way to little matcha powder in it. I understand that most Dutch people are not used to the matcha flavour and can find it bitter (even with the milk in it). But I like that aftertaste because I am kind of used to it... *sniffles*. So I ordered the chocolate matcha because on the picture it was a green matcha with whipcream and a little chocolate sauce on it what I got was... a smaller glass and in it well it looked like hot chocolate milk, it was brown. Even the waitress said: hot chocolate milk and corrected after that it was matcha and they stirred the chocolate sauce in it. I tasted it and only a faint matcha flavour was left. My friends looked on my face and saw I was really really disappointed and well I though the food was not going to be a succes either.

Alright Enough ranting. The food was actually really delicious!!! Seriously It was good and overall an ok price! The Calpis apple juice my friend ordered was a bigger glass and tasted good!! I wished I choosed that drink.

After the food my friends ordered a Hot matcha latte and learning from my previous matcha order without chocolate hahaha. They were dissapointed as well it was not like the picture and the waitress said proudly that he put sugar in it.

Let’s just order Calpis soda another time, I said while I looked sadly to their drinks..

Alright now there are A LOT of frozen yoghurt stores and I need to say there are only 2 I still remember and trust to be good. First since I discover that store in 2011 is frozz and the other is Yogen Fruz, The difference is that by Yogen Fruz you can choose and do everything yourself (even the ice cream) and you pay the weight.

Alright so you get a cup and you already see the cup is really big, It’s a trap! because you will fill it to the max trow toppings in it like fruit and if you weigh it you suddenly need to pay over 10 euro haha. So lesson learn put a little ice cream in it with the lightest toppings. If you want more you better go to Frozz it is then cheaper that way. I’m sorry for Yogen Fruzz but if I need to choose I rather go to Frozz no hard feelings ;).

On a sidenote when I was in Utrecht, I stepped in the store named Oodlz because they sold Noodles soup, I was suprised when I saw it was the Frozz store. The girl said to me that in the Winter they also sell noodle soup. (it was good!).

Frozz 2 kinds of frozen yoghurt (or they might have more now) the size of the cup is the price. Also they sell noodle soup in the winter.

Brown’s and Two-B by Brown’s

Every year I am in Veldhoven and a friend her family who lived nearby have said in the past that this is the best store to eat lunch. She did not lie for 3 years we come here and it is always so good! The bread is delicious!!

Brown’s have 2 stores but I heard they are closing the first one because they are opening a bigger store. We had a High Tea (< Afternoon tea) by Brown’s and by their 2nd store named: Two-B we had Bread with fresh orange juice with vanilla ice cream they also have ice cream by their second store.  Come with an empty stomach, they give alot!

If there is one thing I learned from my mother is that in Amsterdam van der Linde has the best ice cream from Amsterdam. It it so creamy! And always a long line! :3. Their Famous for their ice cream but you can also buy there cake and other sweets.

This is an Coffee/Tea/Chocolate and Ice bar. I am often trying new kinds of ice cream but the one I always choose is their: dropijs (licorice ice).

Kabocha Squash Soup (2 persons)

I tried this recipe yesterday and it was very easy to make and very good! Since I could not find the Kabocha squash I found by my greengrocer an Orange Hokkaido pumpkin so I bought that one.

Ingredients

1 small onion

400 gram Kabocha Squash (but I used the orange Hokkaido, see picture)

1 tbsp Unsalted Dairy butter

250 ml Chicken broth

125 ml Milk

70 ml Heavy cream (I used whipcream, can also use Crème fraîche)

1tsp. Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

Parsley for garnish

Instructions

Slice the onion thin and cut the Squash in half.

Remove the seeds and cut in wedges.

Remove the skin and cut the wedges in small equal pieces.

Do the butter in the pan and add the onions cook until soft and brown.

Add the Kabocha squash by the onions and saute for a minute

add the chicken broth and bring to a boil, when it boils reduce the heat to simmer for 12 minutes.

Use a bamboo skewer or fork to feel if the kabocha is fully cooked

Puree the soup with an immersion blender.

Add the milk and heavy cream stir and dont let the soup boil

Season with pepper and salt stir, put the soup in a bowl

Chop the parsley and add it in the soup.

I saw this foodtruck a couple times on wednesday and saturday and I was always curious about this one. So I ordered philly cheesesteak. It was delicious!

I discover This Ice cream Store and ordered 3 ice cream bolls because you get free whip cream with it then :). What I noticed is that they give a lot of ice cream (which is good offcourse) and a nice detail they say that they get the milk the farmer Talens nearby.

Currysausage sauce (3 persons)

When I was in Berlin and Dusseldorf I ate the famous curry sausage. Well today we had sausage and though it would be nice to make the sauce with it. It is really easy to make!

Ingredients

3 Sausages

15 ml Dairy butter or oil

10 gram Onion

4 gram Red Paprika

10 to 15 gram curry powder

225 gram Ketchup

125 ml water

Instructions

Do butter or oil in the pan with the finely minced onion

If the oniom become transparant add paprika and curry powder and quickly saute it.

Add Ketchup and water and boil until the sauce is thick.

Do the sauce over the sausage and sprinkel with some curry powder.

I love Tsum tsum’s so when I saw the tutorial I wanted to make one immediately.

We went to a event named: Amsterdam Kookt in Amsterdam. Foodtrucks everywhere I ate Jacket potatoes, Red Lentil soup, Vegetarian Gyros and coconut rum and raisin. I was so full; but glad! :3. The event is already over but next year they will be back.

When my little brother was going on vacation, on the airport I saw this diamond between the other shops. I was drawn to it and i’m not sorry it was really good!
