You know everyone jokes about Neal being a conman like for fun and games in the previous seasons, which even he knows that, Neal knows and takes it with a pinch because it's true amd no one is trying to be mean but season 5 comes and the same person who previously said that if they keep treating him like a criminal he would never change, the same guy whose opinion and trust matters the most to him calls him a criminal and a liability, maybe in not so many words but that's what he meant
I am on ep 5 right now and all the cons Neal is pulling just to keep Peter safe and out of prison? Neal knew what was coming when he accepted the deal with Hagen and yet he did.
And don't get me started on El? What happened to her? She was the one who convinced Peter to take Neal's deal in the first place and now she just doesn't care? I love her but it’s weird. Especially last season when she asks him to lie to Peter
Neal is getting manipulated into committing crimes even though third season all he wanted was his desk and getting to solve crimes with Peter, that was the dream life, his only wish was 'no anklet'
People telling him he can’t change is like a self fulfilling prophecy this season because how would he when he tried so hard to change but no one and i mean Not a single person trusts him to have it in him to change
He doesn’t want to run but everyone runs if there's someone always chasing them
