The morning air was beginning to chill the young dryad. Pulling her thin cotton robe closer around herself, Maeve made her way into the seamstressâ shop with a basket of yarrow flowers for dye. The flowers would make a beautiful yellow tint that Maeve was sure would have ladies and gentlemen alike pouring into the shop before the All Hallowâs celebrations.Â
Setting her basket down on an end table, Maeve went upstairs to the room the seamstress provided for her to live in. Sheâd purchased some silk thread from a merchant only days ago, and although she might not have enough for a dress, the young dryad was already imagining what sort of pretty accessory she could create with the yarrow dye and silk. Perhaps a coin purse or a scarfâŚ.
Her mind still swimming with plans, Maeve walked back downstairs and into the shop. She was no longer alone.
âOh! Forgive me, I didnât hear the bell ring. Is there anything I can assist you with?â
