salvador santos, prefers sal, was the first born to maria and miguel santos. his father was a very well connected business man for one of mexico’s biggest cartels and  from a young age his life had already began to be planned out for him by his father. needless to say, sal grew up around a lot of violence, which, now that he thinks back on it, he thinks that’s the reason he became the person he is today. rather than living a regular childhood like most kids growing up around him were doing, salvador was learning the ins and out of his dads line of work, he was learning how to survive in the silent war that was brewing. there was another silent war brewing, though, and it was the one with his sexuality.

growing up he had never really looked in the direction of any girl, not even the ones bold enough to approach him, but he did entertain them for a bit out of boredom. one summer he shared a kiss one of his closest guy friends and he never turned back after that. even in his line of work, as dangerous as it could be, he was proud to be gay and nobody ever really bothered him about it. when he graduated high school, he quickly dove into his new security position with the cartel his father had been working for years for by now. it didn’t take long for them to notice, though, that sal was oddly good at his job. he was quick to learn how to take care of someone who needed taking care of, discrete about everything he did, and most importantly, above all else, the man was loyal to his bosses. so he quickly went from security to one of the carrtel’s personal hitmans. job after job went by flawlessly, and he prided himself in that.

at the same time, he was being encouraged by his bosses to get his papers to become a citizen of the united states. they wanted to expand further, already having connections in certain major cities, and they wanted sal to go oversee one of the workplaces they were starting to open up. so after some very hard work, and a very lengthy application process, sal could finally say he was offical a citizen of the united states. and it certainly did not take long for him to be sent on his way to do the job that was assigned to him. by the time he got to new york city he was twenty five, but he was twenty six when his life would change forever. as weird as it sounded, the caretel lifestyle, it had become a bit like his family and he had gotten very used to how things ran with them. when he heard news that the main bossman had been killed, it actually did make him sad to hear. what really hurt was hearing that the son who took over was changing everything, and everyone, to fit his new views and desires. sal did not make the cut, which he took as an insult, and he has been bitter about that till this day.

from there on out he began doing odd jobs for crime bosses here and there, some security jobs at bars or clubs, and through that word of mouth is how his name got around. when he was approached for a recruitment opportunity to work for the haus he was skeptical about the entire thing at first. he went to check out the resort purely out of curiosity, because there was no way a place like this existed.  there was just no way paradise could be real, could it? but he was proven wrong, the job was as good as it sounded, and he’d never leave it. his loyalty is with the kings now and he’d do anything to ensure the resort is run accordingly.

he does to come off as a bit of a jerk to some people as he’s very sarcastic, has a dry sense of humor, and he’s not exactly the smiling type either, but he means well. he has a good heart beneath the hard exterior but he very rarely shows it. he definitely takes his job very seriously and will follow whatever orders are given to him no matter the costs. although he doesn’t have many people close to him he does consider the haus to be his little home and wants nothing more to continue to watch it thrive and grow.
