if you ask me, these were some of my best songs i wrote in this era. still throwing shit at the wall, but more of it sticks than should. “i hope you die” is really a horrible song but sung from a meta perspective that i would find basically impossible to pull off these days. genuinely recorded for an audience of like 10 people.

planned to be the first "ADORE, 1996" release (and the spiritual successor to MELANCHOLE, this album was lost mid-recording in a house fire. i uploaded it to streaming services under the daniel johann name to minimise confusion, which then went on to cause more confusion. it contains some of the best songs i have written.

refreshed tracklist for the hardcore fans and alternate artwork so that it looks nice in your music bee library. in many ways a very different listening experience.

the most recent daniel johann release, these are two songs that aren’t rock songs, aren’t electronic songs, and aren’t folk songs. instead, they’re all of these things at once. these songs were never recorded with the intent of releasing them but were to good to keep to myself.

the former being a barrage of midi horns and softly spoken words and the latter being a cover of an antlers song i don’t even really like for a compilation that was rejected for being too poppy. these songs are just on their own.

the first adore, 1996 release (and the first album of electronic music i ever made), this album is collection of post-digital pop songs and emo dance ballads, some successful, some unsuccessful. 

the first songs released under this name, these are the only songs i was happy enough to release after i lost the masters in a house fire. later released alongside less finished songs as a part of the album WINTER

the first electronic songs released under this name, the former is a dance song from WORLD ANTI-GOD FREEDOM X while the latter is a dreamy pop song about being in love.

one of two releases under this name, the other being virtually unreleased and found here. the less is said the better off we all are.

the only real daniel johann album to date, this is a collection of shoegaze songs and weird piano ballads that sum up pretty perfectly what i was trying to achieve during this point in time. comes with three bonus tracks including a teen suicide cover.

a conceptual suite about a house burning down. recorded two years before my house burned down and released a year before. perhaps the only time i took up the role of “storyteller”.
