“Welcome To My Kitchen, Please Help Yourself”

Platter lightly squeezes Arthur’s hand. Looking down at him as his hair droops but still curls into what appears to be his own soft smile. “I’m happy that the feeling is mutual, it’s been too long, and I look forward to our talks.”

Stepping into the kitchen, Arthur can see that the dining hall and the kitchen has been combined into one giant room, and the chandelier seemed to have gotten bigger and more extravagant, while the kitchen itself only grew.

Two stools are pulled out from one of the kitchen islands. Platter usher’s Arthur to sit down come up before taking a seat himself. “being with you is the best cure for the loneliness, my dear Arthur. Having you in my thoughts, does wonders. But yes, I’d like to tackle this issue with you about my side here… and there are some things I have wanted to tell you!” Platter reaches out and lightly squeezes Arthur’s knee, “I’ve regained some of my memories. From journaling. Isn’t it isn’t that wonderful?”

“Oh wow….” Arthur continues following Platter, but it’s clear his attentions are on the walls, the expansive and elegant sprawl the rooms have changed to be. The architecture was gorgeous, intricate, with colors fitting the pallete of the room interwoven in a delicate display. The drown molding looked like gold against deep, dark mahogany, and it matched the gold leafing on the chairs in the dining room. It was chintzy, and while he wasn’t the kind to want that stuff, it was perfectly Lewis to want something glamorous, to go with excess, and still make it look nice. 

The kitchen itself is still simple by comparison, but it doesn’t surprise him, when it’s the room for practical use. The kitchen being fancy isn’t really necessary; in fact, with how artful Lewis tried to be with his food, that should be the main attraction of entering the kitchen. If it was done up as well as the rest of the expansive and sprawling rooms of the house, it might make the food he created feel less special, or hell, the design and fancy decor might get in the way of what the kitchen was meant for.

“It’s all thanks to you, my dear. If you hadn’t encouraged me, I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere.” He glows, the rim of his plate and his hair, to the point where the kitchen looked dull in comparison. With his free hand, platter opens up his chest and pulls out a thick journal. There’s a small gust of cold air from his freezer before it’s promptly shut, which platter pays no mind to. He flips it open, revealing pages upon pages of delicate cursive.

“Oh nonsense, don’t fret my dear.” Platter floats around him, tail whipping eagerly. Then arthur Is scooped into a great big hug. Squeezed tight before being set on the floor with a gentle head Pat.

“We’ve been- alright. Lonely isn’t a word in my dictionary but I suppose it suits us quite well. It was nice having you and all of your friends stay here with me. I can’t help but miss it.”

The doors open and platter guide’s arthur Inside with a hand on his back, directing him to the kitchen.

Arthur makes a small ‘oof’ at the hug, letting out a smattering of laughter. He grins at the pat to his head, at least until he spoke again. It softens then, to something tender and furtive.

There’s a hint of familiarity in her appearance. One that takes him several seconds to figure out or place. it’s been a long time since hes been home common and been an even longer time since he’s seen a gal such as yourself… it almost makes him nostalgic, Almost gives him a sense to scoop her up and keep her inside and never let her go. But he doesn’t. No. He must restrain himself, and show that he is a proper and good host. Not that her enthusiasm wasn’t rubbing off on him.

“Hohoho~ Well aren’t you the charmer? I’m flattered really,” he leans down and holds out his hand for her, both bowing and so she didn’t have to crane her neck like that. It would do her no good if she were to get a crick in her neck because of someone like him “my name is salver platter, Although many would have referred to me as Lewis pepper if not for my unusual appearance. It’s nice to meet you Vivi. It’s been a long time since I’ve had company like you.”

There’s so much to take in all at once, Vivi’s eyes dart around the ghost in eager bursts, one detail catching her attention immediately after the next even if she’s not quite ready to move on. The general consensus? Oh he was so cool! She’s so excited she feels like she could just up and climb him like a pole! To what extent? To see him better of course! To explore! Her eyes are so wide, so filled with sparkles, it takes everything in her power not to explode.

...That lost expression was one he recognized. One he saw meant times before he… before... before he ended up here. He remembered seeing that face in his dreams. But never the purple. How odd.

He'll have to ask her about it, but right now wasn't the time. He floats to the side, his tail flicking to beacon her inside. "I'm Eager to make your acquaintance, Vivi. I'm almost just as eager as you are," he ends with a chuckle that has a lot more of his emotion than he wanted to. Being composed might be more difficult in her presence. He'll consider this to be more practice. "and yes I do live here, please come inside. And take your shoes off in the foyer. I imagine that you're hungry, and I would be more than happy to make you something as we chat."

It was very clear to platter that he was about to fall into old habits. One that he had initially wanted to swear off doing, since running with Arthur. After Having the explanations that it does little to no good, this…. Wasn’t going to work.. Not in the slightest.

Arthur takes a step away, and the twitch of his fingers get more persistent.

“Well Arthur.” That had to be this one’s name considering his appearance I mean his appearance, “I am spirit who has a lot more empathy for the stomachs rather than the people.” Platter steps out - or floats out, and the waves of example of exhaustion and jitteriness and dizziness from the young man Fell over him an instant. This will not do. “You’re hungry. You have an eaten in days days. And we’re going to fix this.”

He doesn’t allow Arthur the chance to escape, nor does he give a moment to react. Platter lurches forward and in the next moment Arthur is held to his chest much like a child would be.. In one quick motion play quick motion play platter takes him inside and closes the door.

This feels like a short fuse, one that had been lit the second he laid eyes on the other. It was burning away quickly, considering the way the entire building rumbles and the other twitches. They’re getting more persistent, he can see it in his hands, Arthur knows this is bad news and he’s preparing himself to flee at a moment’s notice.

But oh boy, the other knows his name, and calls him as such. Any color left in the mechanic’s face is gone in an instant, eyes huge with fear as he takes a few more steps backwards. “H…how, how do you know my…. n-name…?” It’s quiet, he’s almost terrified of whatever answer he may get in response. For a moment he’s frozen in place, legs locked hard as the other comes closer, forcing him to crane his head farther and farther back. Oh god everything was spinning, he almost falls over from trying to look up at that plate, only barely able to catch himself by stumbling. “You… huh? Fix..?”

Platter gives them the A-OK, and the collected dead beat flies off into the manor, while the happy one finishes removing his shoes.

"I know your name because I've met other use other use," platter admits, his voice becoming a little more jolly than before. The rumbling even stopping for a brief moment, "And please don't apologize, I've met plenty of people who don't understand how to take care of their bodies, so it's no big deal to help them. As for letting you go - I will once you eat. You've brought me a lot of pain by showing up to my home the way you have, and now you're going to eat and fix it. "

Platter's touch is firm yet gentle, and when Arthur shoes are off, platter readjusted him again to hold him firmly so that he couldnt escape. He Floats through the double doors, and into a great glittering kitchen.

“Oh but Selena, you were trying to run away before your meal was ready! We can’t have that. I need to be sure that you’re well nourished and properly hydrated. And from the looks of it you were about to run out on me.. even if you couldn’t.. Not really with the locks on the doors and all that fun stuff.” he tells his head I’m here from the stove with a contemplative look. “If I release you from your bonds, will you sit patiently and wait for your supper?”

Salena tugged a bit on the restraints, more so in a manner that was testing their strength rather than actually making an effort to escape them. She sighed, lowering her ears slightly.

Her attention returned to the specter, staring at him, “Do me a favor would you Salver? I want you to look at me, and then look at the portion size of the meal you’re making for me. Do you see the problem?”

"I really do not see the problem, you're malnourished, And this should be enough for you to finish. If not in one sitting, then maybe two." he says without a hint of irony, Returning back to the stove and stabbing a fork into the Chicken he was frying. He holds it up and watches as the grease fall before letting out of smaller hum. Gates… interesting. Maybe she'll show him afterwards.
