i obviously hate cishet transphobes but i absolutely fucking despise transphobic lgb people. like you have to be a special kind of brain dead monster to go through bigotry and the fear of death and violence and then turn around and do the same to others. the same with racist lgbt people. trans people of color BUILT this community and you fucking demons have the fucking nerve to bask in what they did for you while spitting in their faces
lesbians: *makes jokes about how certain hairstyles n clothing are a part of lesbian culture*
every gnc straight women in the vicinity: āhi, straight girl here! yes i have a shaved head and yes i wear plaid and guess what! im still straight. itās almost like how u look doesnt reflect ur sexuality?? i love men and i love combat boots too! theyāre comfortable! how dare u say that makes me a dyk- i mean lesbian?!ā
I know a lot of lesbians that used to identify as bi who worried that coming out as a lesbian would contribute to invalidating bisexuality in some way, by making it seem like a āstepping stoneā to coming out as gay. Iāve also known bi women who identified as lesbians and changed their labels later, and worried that they were contributing to some kind of idea about how men can ~turn lesbians. I just wanted to say that itās no individual lesbian or bi womenās responsibility to fix straight peopleās perceptions of us. Like, itās not your duty to serve as a political symbol! Itās your duty to find happiness even if that means changing ur label at some points.
Part of me is like āI want a strong woman to hold me and take care of meā and another part of me is like āI want to be a strong woman and hold and take care of a girlā and the great thing about lesbianism is that I can have both

after realising youāre gay itās truly a never ending series of āoh i used to do/feel that because iām gayā. it really never ends
Told one of my friends that I unfriended my homophobic/transphobic uncle on facebook before coming out and they responded withĀ ābut how can you open his mind that way?ā so just a reminder:
My job is to exist. My job is to be happy. My job is not to educate, I am willing to help you educate yourself, but above all else, it is my job to find peace that Iāve wanted for years. If someone does not make me feel good, why should I have to be a part of their life? I do not have to suffer so that others can grow. A blooming garden is not expected to keep itās vines and weeds, so why am I?
āI do not have to suffer so that others can grow.ā Remember, it is not the responsibility, (nor can it be), of the oppressed to educate their oppressors.
āronald reagans grave is a gender neutral bathroomā is the most powerful sentence Iāve ever readĀ
Would you mind elaborating on the āwanting to be a lesbian is a symptom of being a lesbianā thing? Sorry to bug you. It just caught my eye and now Iām curious
what i mean by that is that many repressed or questioning lesbians donāt think they can be a lesbian for whatever reason, but they want to be. theyāre drawn to the word lesbian, lesbian culture, and lesbians in general. they dread the idea that theyāll have to settle down with a man eventually. they wish they could be a lesbian so that theyāll have a reason to not be with men, but they think theyāre not cool or brave enough, or that maybe they could possibly, theoretically love a guy at some point so calling themselves a lesbian would be wrong. so to all those questioning wlw out there, iām telling you right now: if you want to be a lesbian, youāre probably a lesbian. youāre allowed to be a lesbian.Ā
hot take but transphobia and homophobia are inexorably linked and saying āthis thing is transphobic, not homophobic!ā or āthis thing is homophobic, not transphobic!ā is absolutely useless in most contexts. jokes about how ugly and weird āmen in dressesā, jokes about someone breaking gender roles, jokes about someone looking like the āoppositeā gender⦠legislation saying that two people of the same legal sex cannot get married or adopt⦠trans people of every orientation and cis gay people face so many of the same problems!
thatās WHY itās LGBT! itās why gay people and straight trans people work together! because homophobia and transphobia and intertwined and linked and you cannot dismantle one without dismantling the other! ignoring either homophobia or transphobia in favor of the other is missing the point!

me as a 12 year old: yeah, women are just objectively more beautiful. like its just true. women are always more attractive than men, thems the facs. it is nature, godās will, if you may. i am heterosexual.
i dont care if theres a genetic basis for being gay. i dont care if trans peopleās brains resemble their gender. i donāt care. can we please stop focusing on answering why people arent cishet and more on how to actually stop homophobia and transphobia? because going out of our way to show that trans and gay people are weird variants on ānormalā cishets isnāt helping.
āŖwhy are cishet people so insistent on āsolvingā gayness and transness anyway? why not just accept us how we are. howās that for a conceptā¬
nobody is trying to figure out why people are cis and het, itās accepted as the norm! why are we not treating transness and gayness the same way? itās homophobia and transphobia!
thereās no need to diagnose transness and gayness! absolutely none!
Straight people are obsessed with whether or not theyāre the one who turned someone gay, like Iāve met a couple men who are like āI think I might be why youāre a lesbianā or āis your dad the reason youāre a lesbianā and Iād just like to say to all those men, yes. Youāre the reason Iām a lesbian, you singlehandedly showed me how vastly disappointing men are actually
So I just heard aboutĀ āPrimed: The Back Pocket Guide for Trans Men and the Men Who Dig Them.ā Itās the first sexual health resource written by and for gay, bi and queer trans men/ transmasculine people, put out by Rainbow Health Ontario, and itās a very frank guide that answers basically any questions you might have about safer sex. Theyāve released itĀ for free download here.
A similar guide geared towards trans women/ transfeminine people (though not really sexual orientation specific) is āBRAZEN: Trans Womenās Safer Sex Guide.ā
^^^
Good morning gay sex is completely healthy and natural and gay people shouldnāt have to feel dirty or ashamed for having or wanting sex. Itās healthy and natural for a girl to fantasise about having sex with another girl, or for a boy to fantasise about having sex with another boy, and they arenāt predatory for doing so āØ

To any trans women and transfeminine followers of mine, did you know thereās a pretty huge Etsy store which does gaff underwear and swimsuits specifically designed for trans people amongst its products? They go in a pretty decent range of sizes, including sizes for young girls, and while I do not personally know anyone who has used them, thereās a fuckton of positive reviews on the Etsy store. They have a ton of colours to choose from, different fabric choices, the works.
And for once theyāre not marked āfor crossdressersā too, they actually under ātransgenderā, so thatās (depressingly) unusual.
Iām mostly posting this because Iāve seen a lot of younger people recently in particular saying they never knew what gaffs were⦠a lot of people find them WAY MORE comfortable and convenient than tucking, so I would recommend looking into them if youāve never done so before!
And even if you yourself donāt use or need this stuff, do pass this kind of info on to any friends of yours that might, guys! Thereās always like a million more PSAs about transmasc stuff as opposed to transfem stuf tbhā¦
