A/N: I know it’s been a long time since I’ve written anything. I’m trying my best to get back into things after suffering writers block for over a year. I still intend on writing out the requests that have been sent but at this time I’m can’t make promises. Hopefully I can get back into the groove of things ^^

Y/n worked a simple office job as one of a small company’s secretary. It paid well enough to keep her on her feet, and she lived comfortably as long as nothing catches her off guard. She had a hefty amount of savings put to the side for such surprises.

So, she was comfortable. And floated through her adult life with ease. She lived by her planner and all the things in it. There was nothing to worry about because she had thought of everything and made sure she was prepared for anything. She thought she’d been prepared for anything. 

She was not.

It was never in the planner for her to miss her train. Or to walk to work. Or to get grabbed by some low life villain. Y/n’s quirk wasn’t strong enough to defend herself against an assailant. She was stuck, and displaced. 

Suddenly gone was all that comfort, and Y/n quickly realized she’d gotten too comfortable. So much so she became lazy and blind to anything outside of her world.

Now, she’s in a warehouse, as far as she could tell from when her blindfold has slipped. Her ears rang from the villains quirk, he had emitted such a high pitched sound that she’d blacked out. Her ears throbbed painfully and she was sure she felt blood in them and slowly dripping down the side of her neck. She tried to hone in on what they were saying, but it was impossible. Frustratingly so.

Gritting her teeth, she tugged uselessly against the restraints around her wrists and ankles. Pulling desperately in an attempt to free herself. But it was no use. She hadn’t realized that the villains were talking to her until someone suddenly grabbed her jaw and tilted her face upwards. His hold was tight and distracting, she could barely focus on the words that his lips were forming soundlessly. 

They were muffled and garbled, they made no sense. Y/n gave up on trying to understand and it seemed he realized that the effects of the quirk were still active, so he gave up to. Instead choosing to re-tie the blindfold and leaving. As far as Y/n could tell, that is.

Y/n isn’t sure how much time has passed, but she felt like it was lunchtime. Her stomach growled in response. By now, her hearing had returned, unfortunately, though the ringing still persisted and was now followed by a cruel and unyielding headache.

The villains spoke freely, despite being around her. Y/n wasn’t sure if they thought that she was still deaf, or that they simply didn’t care. What she does know is the reason they grabbed her.

For security reasons. Just in case. The thought made her stomach curdle. They were hauling illegal enhancement drugs for a small villain gang, who were planning some event. Y/n made sure to log all that information mentally, she’s sure it’ll be useful to someone.

The gag in her mouth was soaked now and she felt nauseous with it in her mouth. She tried pushing it out of her mouth and onto her chin, succeeding for the most part.

Take a few deep breaths, she swallows the lump in her throat and musters the courage to speak up. “E-Excuse me?”

The talking ceases.

Licking her lips, Y/n speaks again, “C-Can I have some water. Please?”

It was silent for a moment before her ears pick up on someone standing and them shuffling over. She tenses as she feels someone hover behind her, feeling the weight of their stare on the back of her neck.

“I just want some water,” she whispers, dread crawling up her spine. Regret swirling in her stomach. I should have stayed quiet. 

“I’m sure you want a lot of things,” spits out a gravelly voice. “If I give you water, will you start asking for us to remove your blindfold? Your bindings? Letting you go?” He scoffs, “I ain't stupid.”

“N-No, I promise I won't. I’m just really thirsty. I only had a glass of water this morning and I didn’t even finish it all.” She blinks against the blindfold, tears wetting the cloth. She finishes quietly, “I was running late and I didn’t want to miss the train.”

“I don’t want to hear it,” he growls.

Y/n gasps as the chair lurches backwards, him pulling on the back of it. He kept it from falling with his leg and she felt a scratchy hand grab her shoulder. “You had better be quiet from now on, you understand? You’re not getting water, we’re not moving you, we’re not doing anything for you. We clear?”

“Crystal,” Y/n breathes.

“Good.” He pushes the chair, letting it fall back forward with a lurch. “You stay quiet and maybe you’ll get out this alive. ‘Kay?”
