Finally home from work Remus sighed as his key struggled to unlock the front door of your shared flat, eventually hearing the satisfying click he let himself in. carefully slipping off his shoes before his eyes darted around the empty space searching for you.
"y/n! I'm home!" he called.
receiving no response his eyebrows furrowed, checking in the kitchen to see if you yet again had music blasting in your ears while cleaning the dishes by hand, but you were nowhere to be found.
Every time he asked why you bothered to clean them by hand you always responded with "magic leaves a weird taste remus i swear." he rolled his eyes fondly at the memory while moving to check the living room, only to find you sleeping soundly on the couch covered in a blanket and wearing one of his famous sweaters. feeling his heart warm he couldn't stop himself from subconsciously reaching out to brush the hair out of your relaxed face.
"Remus?" you mumbled quietly
"hello dove, sorry to wake you" he said hushed
you smiled lightly and still in your sleepy state you opened your blanket for him, letting the cold in.
he chuckled quietly as he saw you shiver, laying with you and weaving your limbs together immediately returning the warmth to your body.
"how was work?" you whispered as you set your fingers in his vanilla scented hair.
he rolled his eyes and you laughed, "that grumpy old lady was back and she sent her order back twice."
you gasped "did you tell her to go home to her grandchildren?"
he narrowed his eyes at you humorously "you know, i almost did today."
"Well, if you don't, I guess I'll have to do it for you." you beamed
he burrowed his face into your neck, sending goosebumps down your arms.
closing his eyes he murmured "mm id love to see that."
snickering quietly you move your hand down to slowly rub his back, "I'm sure you would rem but wouldn't a nap just be so much better?"
he smiled "honestly? no. She really does set me off."
"You amuse me, but I would love to resume my slumber." you say grinning unapologetically.
sighing in defeat he settles down into you "i am the one that woke you from that nap, i guess it's only fair."
with a smile you close your eyes before saying "I love a considerate man."
Remus shakes his head before kissing you softly and laying back into your neck, succumbing to sleep with your limbs entangled and soft smiles painting both of your faces.
