beomsu is often credited with being at the right place or the wrong time, or the wrong place at the right time, or — more often than not — a combination of the two. this world is a place where phenomena like chance and fate are not given their power by something as finicky as human belief. the existence of the weave and the magic that drifts all around them gives them a little more weight and substance.

a less charitable, but perhaps more accurate, assessment of how beomsu ends up in the situations that he does, is that he simply walks into them. where others would see a stranger performing a ritual in broad daylight, and hurriedly turn the other way before the stranger notices them and ropes them in — and there's quite a mixed bag of the type of characters who would be bold enough to do such a thing — well. beomsu's curious.
