This fella walked up our front driveway the other day...

Plains wanderer, yet another endangered species, this is a beautiful quail like bird that relies on native grasslands, a vastly disrupted ecosystem.

So now I have five more of these small vessels. The paper is daylily and hemp, the images are of endangered species in Victoria/Australia. Land use is the common threat for all species facing extinction...and there is no reason we all can’t live together, if only humanity could curb our destructiveness.

more waterlilies, they are such a pleasure to paint, so green in the hot, hot summer, I love them....
