Thomas G. Waites fun facts!!
2. He is a musician and has a band.
3. When he started wanting to be an actor: when he was younger, in 1969, he was hit by a car and broke his femur, so he was taken to the hospital. They injected Thomas with a medication to help him sleep (it's a liquid narcotic) and he ended up getting addicted.
After a week, he noticed they stopped giving him the medication. He pulled the emergency chain and started screaming: "AAAHH!! MY LEG! π«π₯Ί" and then the nurse took the medication and injected him again. After a few days, the surgeon arrived, looked at the chart in confusion and asked what was happening, the medication shouldn't be given to him anymore.
The nurse looked at him, left and noticed that it had actually been Thomas acting and so she said: "You should be an actor!"
5. The "G." was added to his name to avoid confusion with singer Tom Waits. (Speaking of which, they know each other!)
6. Carpenter and Kurt Russell saw Waites' performance in a play and then cast him as Windows in The Thing.
7. He used to be in a gang called the "Bristol Terrace Gang." (You could say he got into a lot of trouble.)
8. In the movie "...And Justice for All," he was crouching all afternoon, so his legs must have really hurt.
9. Before he had a band, he used to play solo in clubs.
10. Thomas and Keith David studied together at Juilliard and used to smoke on the school stairs.
11. He used to do 100 push-ups every morning but ended up straining his hamstring, so now he can't anymore. (ππ)
12. He used to be a black belt in karate.
