I’m talking about the Cottagecore, Preppy and Dark Academia aesthetics. Here are some outfits I did by myself. I hope they can inspire you to create your own outfits in these 3 fashion styles.

First of all, Cottagecore aesthetics. Classical. Here are 2 feminine outfits. One is a V-neck dress (you can see here the waistline accentuation) and the second one is a slightly puffed cropped blouse with a high waisted skirt.

This is Preppy aesthetic. They are my personal favorites of all 6 outfits because of this “french girl” look with some academia vibe (because I wanted to create some school-themed outfits for this style). Both are feminine and elegant. You can see how much the waistline is accentuated in both of outfits.

This is Acadimia. I can tell it’s the Dark Academia, but it could be another variations of it. You can find here 2 outfits — one is more elegant and feminine with all of this rich textures of wool midi skirt or this corduroy vest. But I personally like the second one better because of how relaxed it is. This top is my absolute winner. And you can see this waistline accentuation. Again.

The first one I think it was the most common outfit I saw here. With all the popular stuff of that time.

Unconventional Normcore styling

The most difficult thing for me was to put these two looks together, because the essence of this style is that it does NOT stand out. So I chose the path of styling through a mixture with other aesthetics:

Normcore x Grandpa core

All these scuffs on the jeans and the aging effect on the bag, earth tones, corduroy pants, grandfather’s jacket, this cap.

There are many recognizable elements here:

• Little black dress

• Beret

• Black and white gamma

• Red accents

Where would we go without this? This is a classic of the genre!

I played around with the first one with the contrast of textures. On the second I went retro “to be, not seem.” I wish there were white tights, oh!

I don't think it's a good idea to copy Barbie's outfits. Leave it to Margot Robbie. They have already repeated everything there.

The first one I have here is a modern interpretation of Barbie from the 2000s, where it’s not just pink, but “toy-like”: plush shoes, a plush bag, a strange little panama hat. I would say she is a fan of Barbie.

On the second, I take this “toy-ness” to the point of absurdity, I don’t need pink color anymore, the “pink” inscription is enough. The skirt should rustle like a candy wrapper, the earrings should be plastic and large, like those of a doll, and the bag with the baby doll should be just a little more cringe than meme.
