Not just that, Sasuke is softer, and more his natural self with Sakura. She’s the only person he feels comfortable enough with to simply be happy around, and whose happiness and accomplishments make him happy. She’s the only one close enough to his heart to tug on his heart strings and change him on things no one else can. She is the only one who made him think of the love he felt for his family even after he had already set his heart to stone and intended to kill Naruto and accept a life of only hatred from everyone.

So you think she’s ‘weak’ or ‘annoying’, but why would you look at the only person in Sasuke’s life that gives him nothing but happiness and feelings of love, the only person he is able to behave like his normal self around, and say “Gross, I hate this person for him”.

Yes, Kakashi has an important role. Yes, Itachi is the most important person in his life. Yes, he has a close brotherly connection to Naruto and yes, he considers Hebi/Taka to be like his fledglings, but that doesn’t mean they bring him happiness, or that he has the same kind of happiness from them.

Kakashi is similar to him, but that’s a bad thing, because rather than see each other, they project their own situations on each other. Itachi is his dear brother, but he’s also the source of Sasuke’s greatest trauma and creates the most amount of grief for Sasuke in his life. And he refuses to let Sasuke decide anything for himself. Naruto is a replacement for Itachi, and knowing there’s someone out there like him made Sasuke secretly happy, like he could replace his family, but it was still tangled up in their rivalry. Naruto enraged him and refused to understand him even when he should, they were jealous of each other’s accomplishments, and Sasuke wasn’t able to just be happy for Naruto.  Their relationship is as self destructive as Sasuke and Itachi’s.

HebiTaka are all important to Sasuke, but they don’t really connect to his deeper emotional core, and he often treats and views them as tools.It’s not the same thing.

And all these bonds are important to Sasuke. Sakura isn’t his only bond. Not at all. But Sakura is the only wholly positive one he had. As much as it made her suffer, she was still the only light in his life, the only love who wouldn’t change her feelings no matter what he did, or whether he deserved it. The only one who could still reach his feelings even at his coldest points and remind him of his humanity, however briefly. And she was the only one he went out of his way to avoid killing.at all but his lowest point (signified by his willingness to try to kill her).

I thought Naruto was the one who turned him from the path of hatred.
