- THE BEGINNING-

"Don't cry, please"

I heard the voice saying, It belonged to the boy who saved me. He was crouching in front of me with that big boxy smile that was so evident on his face. He looked like an angel to me in this moment, an angel who was send, just to help me.

"That idiots are gone by now, you are safe"

he said and helped me get up.

"T-thank you"

I mumbled weakly while hot tears streamed down my face.

"C'mon now, i don't wanna see tears on you".

With one hand he was still holding me while with the other, he gently wiped away tear that ended up rolling down my chin.

"Where is that cute smile of yours, that I see on you every time when you play with the flowers, and your rabbit plushy"

he asked with a small smile, but then it changed to confusion when I started to wipe away the new set of tears with the wet sleeve of my red and white checked dress. He didn't understand where did the new wave of sadness came, until he catched something with the corner of his eye  that looked like a sponge, but wait there was a lot of it like a trail of little white sponges, and one pink ear laid down on the ground beside the soft trail. Until it gets to him. That's the cotton that plushies are stuffed with, and everyone can guess what the lone ear meant, the same pink ear of the stuffed pink bunny that everyone saw you play with.

The only thing you played with. Everyone would first think  'Ah its just another toy that you can replace with another one, or its not that big of a deal its just a toy '. But in your reality that wasn't just some simple toy, it was like your friend,

it was your only friend,

that you played with. You see there are kids who can make friends in an instant, but that wasn't the case with you. Even if your family was pretty wealthy, that didn't meant you wouldn't feel lonely, your parents were busy with work most of the time, so you spent your time playing all alone. In your own imaginary world, in your own illusions. You loved playing in the garden with all kinds of flowers you had in the big  backyard of your big house, and of course you would tag along your pink bunny that you got as a present from your parents as a sorry for many broken promises of (not) spending the weekend together. It wasn't that they didn't love you, they did very much but with the  business they had, the time didn't give'em much time to always be with you. On the other hand kids found you really weird and spoiled so they didn't want to play with you and the worst thing was that some of them even bullied you. Little did they knew that you didn't even know  how to be around them, and what to say because of you're shy nature, and lonesome time. You didn't have a friend, how could you then possibly make one? So that's why you sticked with yourself all the time with your pink bunny friend, that now apparently  is no more...

Taehyung clenched his tiny hand in a fist with the realization, and quietly murmured

"Damn those idiots".

Taehyung was the boy you always saw being free and playful with another kids, and who could make a friend even out of the fish. The boy you couldn't forget, with his unique and evident charm that he was known of, and always weared on his face (his) - boxy smile. His parents as you heard were in the pretty good situation with money, but it looks like that didn't couse him problems with other kids due to his carefree and bubbly personality. Oh how you wish you could be like him. But you were just a weird, quiet girl who talks with her bunny and rarely goes out of her  house, and the one who kids laugh at and bully with no one protecting her, except this very first time. With this very first boy, who stood up for you before anyone else and made you feel so safe, and for the first time in your life you didn't feel lonely at all.

While you looked at his stiff figure standing in front of you, you where just waiting for a moment when he would turn and go, maybe realize that there is no meaning spending time with someone weird with no friends, and weak. But surprisingly he took your hand with his and started running of somewhere.

"W-wait where are you taking me?"

you asked dragged behind him and a little bit of scared, he turned around with his boxy smile

" Don't worry I know how to bring that cute smile back on your face, just trust me okay?"

he said cheerfully and continue to lead me on somewhere. We shortly stopped in front of a big house with the beautiful front yard of many kinds of flowers, he saw  excitement on my face while I studied all kinds of beautiful flowers growing in front of his house.

" I'm not much into flowers but my mum likes them and as I see you really like them too"

he said and smiled. Before i could say something he let my hand fall out of his and stared going to his house.

"Wait a moment okay, I'll come in a second"

he said and went. I stood there alone and thinked how did all of this even happened, just who even is this boy... Deep in my thoughts I didn't even realize that he came back, and in front of me appeared a soft brown teddy bear with a red bow around its neck. I looked at him with a face of confusion

"Here, this is my teddy bear and i want to give it to you, I know it isn't the same as your bunny who really meant to you but i hope it can replace him"

he was holding it in front of me while the wind was gently running over his soft brown hair.

"But if you give it to me you wouldn't see it anymore"

I looked at the toy and then at him

"Oh who said that, I would still see him"

"What do you mean"

I was really confused

"I mean that you would carry it with you all the time when we play together, right?"

he boxy smiled at me as his eyes was closing while his smile grew bigger, my heart swelled at that

"You want to play with me?"

my voice was small

"Of course, I have to protect you from now on, I know you don't have friends and other kids are just stupid to really see the real you, but i know that you just don't know how to be around others, hmm so lets say y/n from today I'll be your shield"

I couldn't believe someone would say something like that to me, so my eyes started to get teary again while i took the teddy bear and squeeze it around myself with my arms. It was like an explosion of all sort of warm and happy feelings that I felt in that one moment. In that one moment that I realized that this boy would be engraved in my heart.

He sensed that I stood stiff and held my head down

"Heyy i thought you wouldn't cry anymore"

He said quickly but with a bit of panicking sound in his voice

"Im not crying something fell in my eyee"

I quickly ran my hand across my both eyes, with a little smile that finally came out of me. But then I remembered something, I didn't think I ever told him my name

"But hey how do you now my name"

I asked in a confusion and looked at him

"Oh i know it and mine is Taehyung"

He cheerfully responded

"Taehyung.. ie"

I tried his name on my tongue scared a little bit of his reaction by my change of it, but when he said that he was my friend I wanted to fully embrace it and start acting like it.

He stood, a bit in his thoughts and murmured cutely with his slightly pinkish cheeks

"Hmm you know i don't really like it when others call me like that, I even pick a fight with them when they call me by it , knowing it's pissing me off. But because it's you I don't mind it, I would let only you call me like that "

"Oh i just heard that when you got a friend you give them a nickname, and because you are now my first friend I wanted to try it... Taehyungie"

I said, with both my cheeks red right now, still trying out his name.

"Hahah that's fine by me y/n" he sweetly said but then remembered something "Hey its getting dark you should go home, I'll go with you"

He again took my hand and started walking along the street with me, and now my new second friend.

"But I can go alone you don't have to to that Taehyungie" it wasn't that much dark anyway i noticed but then he confidently turned around

"I'm your shield now y/n remember?"

Enough said he just held my hand and continued walking beside me with a starting sunset behind us, and a teddy bear with red bow. I was so happy for the first time in my life.

Remembering that right now I really felt cold, sinking in this water, in this darkness around me, with this memories of him in my mind and one repeating question.

"How did all of this even happened?"
