So I filed another appeal today with tumblr to get my page unmarked as mature. They never pointed out to me what made my blog initially mature. I’m hoping for some answers as my engagement on my blog is way down.
My latest fic update tanked as well as my latest reading list. Makes me not want to post anymore if I’m being honest. The engagement is not not there anymore since I got marked mature.

It was a beautiful spring day outside with the sun shining with a cool breeze and Steve had decided to treat you to a picnic in your favorite park.
You were dressed in a sundress and sandals while Steve was in a button-down shirt and khakis. His beard was shaved off and his hair was perfect and you wondered why he was dressed to impress when you were just going to the park. Steve had also made finger sandwiches and cut some fresh fruit for you to eat. Placing everything inside the basket, he grabbed a blanket, and you both headed for the car.
Ever the gentleman, Steve opened the car door for you and gently shut it when you were settled inside. The park you were heading to is where you both met for the first time years ago. You had been minding your business, reading a romance novel under a tree, when you caught Steve drawing under another tree.
You could see he was watching other people and sketching them in his book. He must have felt your eyes on him as he’d turned his head your way and made eye contact. You’d both smiled at one another and you’d taken it upon yourself to walk over to him to talk. He’d asked about your book while you’d asked to see what he was drawing. The rest, as they say, was history.
The drive was about fifteen minutes and during it, you casually talked. You noticed Steve was a little quieter than usual as he drove and only answered with short responses. Again, you blew it off as Steve being Steve.
When you finally arrived at the park, you took a breath in and spun in a circle. Steve chuckled as he watched you in all your glory.
Steve grabbed the picnic basket while you picked up the blanket out of the back seat. Together you walk to your favorite spot under the tree where you’d had your first conversation.
Steve helped you lay the blanket on the ground, and you both sat on it, before he carefully, pulled everything out of the basket, placing it in front of you both.
“Steve, this looks wonderful. I can’t wait to have a bite.” You said as you smiled at him.
He brushed his hair back with his hand and smiled back at you. “I hope you enjoy it. I prepared all your favorites.”
You leaned in slowly and kissed his lips. “I know I’ll love it because you prepared it.”
Steve smirked at your comment and you both dug into the food. You made more casual talk while you ate – anything and everything, all at once. You laughed in between bites and occasionally one of you would touch the other gently.
You had to admit it was a perfect afternoon. Steve was holding your hand and lightly caressing it with his thumb. You looked over at him and could see he was looking off into the distance.
“Steve, what’s bothering you today? You seem kinda off. Is it anything I’ve done?”
Steve’s blue eyes stared deep into your soul and he offered you another smile.
“You’ve done nothing wrong, sweetheart. In fact, you’ve done everything right. I’ve been thinking of all our firsts under this tree in the park. Our first time meeting, our first kiss, and our first ‘I love you’. They all mean the world to me, and you mean the world to me. So I only find it fitting that we take our next step here.”
Steve got up and knelt in front of you, and you gasped as he pulled a black velvet box out of his pocket.
“Sweetheart, I love you with every fiber of my being. I want to spend my life with you. I want to grow old with you, wrinkles and all. I want to watch our future children grow and have families of their own. To spend my every breath telling you how much I love you. Please do me the honor of marrying me.”
You saw the diamond ring sparkling in the sunshine and you threw yourself into his arms. You kissed him on his lips and then all over his face.
“Yes, yes! A million times, yes.” You said in between kisses.
You both started to chuckle as you noticed people stopping to look at you. You pulled apart for a minute as Steve took the ring out of the box and placed it on your finger. It fitted perfectly and you just stared at it before hugging him close again.
“Thank you for making me the happiest man on the planet.”
“Thank you, Steve, for making me happy and always feeling loved. I can’t wait to plan a wedding with you.”
“Me too, sweetheart.”
Steve kissed you again before you both settled back down on the blanket. You both started talking about the future and what it could look like as you sat under the tree that brought you together.
Oh this was just beyond cute!!!! What tooth-rotting fluff, exactly what I came looking for tonight, and I love it!
I'm an absolute sucker for a proposal scene and this one is no different; it is so thoughtful and romantic of Steve to do that in the place where they first met. And the meet-cute is adorable too, it's exactly the kind of old-fashioned romance that I feel like fits Steve so well. What a dream.

Not to mention that look of his in summer clothes, and all the little gentlemanly touches such as the car door and preparing the food for her. I love how you always in your fluff him as the absolutely beautiful man that he is, inside and out.
