All the graphics i did for Brightshine Jubilee on Flight Rising, i thinkkk (aside from the ~50 variations for the small headers and the ~30 variations for the large header). Credit goes to Light’s dom team on Slack for the feedback and the suggestions and the guidance and the badge animation and for the help with my bad taste in fonts. All of these graphics can be found within the relevant forum threads. Plus, credit goes to the flight in general for cooking up a cool theme. (essentially a new year’s celebration with the main colors being buttercup, vermilion and cerulean - that is yellow, red and blue, for anyone who doesn’t speak Derg) Glory to Glittermom and glory to the Light Flight! :v

I love the dressing room. Now, here’s some things that can be improved on it:
1. Let us upload images of scryed dragons. Sometimes I wanna preview on a dragon that hasn’t grown up yet or doesn’t have the right genes yet, or straight up doesn’t exist [yet]. Yes, we can marva it up, but we shouldn’t have to go through all these extra steps when the dressing room was made for previewing purposes.
2. Let us select multiple items at once. Typing in ‘buttercup’ several times over just so I can get the full [or even half] set of frilly lace is tedious. Please FR, I’m already doing physical therapy for my hand.
3. Let us select bundles. Same as number 2, but, well. The entire thing. Just drop it onto a dragon, already layered.
4. Give us a better search system. Listen, I don’t actually remember the name of every single piece of apparel on the site. If the search were more like the one on the usual dress up page it’d make life loads simpler.
“Across the Shifting Expanse, you either live around the Tempest Spire, or you don’t. Outsiders, surely, think this is an obvious statement. It always seems they imagine it’s some kind of local half-joke. Of course the alternative to not living somewhere is to live somewhere else. Yet every time they finally make it out to the bare, broken, remote wilderness outside of the more developed tourist traps- they’re surprised.
“Oh, they say, there’s nothing out here! No. There’s not. You either live in the Spire, or you don’t.
“The Spire is what you expect. Dragons working for the Stormcatcher, following their own technological pursuits, or dealing in some black-market kind of fair which is neither my business nor yours for the moment. Wire, metal, magic, steam- organic and inorganic life smashed together in whatever popular corporate drama outsiders think of when they imagine Lightning’s territory.
“What they forget, though, is perhaps the most important thing; the Stormcatcher came here in the in the Second Age. Everything out here is new. Or. Relatively new.
“That’s important. It explains why, when you leave the confines of the Spire, civilization drops off suddenly. The desert itself seems to watch you, as soon as you dare leave the city. The desert is still angry. After all, the Spire spits in its face, and dictates its own rules about living out here- and the desert has never forgiven us.
“Outside the Spire, amid the naked rocks, the Lightning Farm begins. There isn’t life there. At least none that’s common to see. The air reeks of ozone, and an unease about the place claws constantly at your back. I laid wire out there for years, and that’s when I began to realize that progress can incite the wrath of a landscape itself.
“On long nights wires would go down. In storms we could lose power to half the spire, but find nothing wrong. These cables were made to protect themselves against the desert- against the sand and the wind and the vultures- but mysteriously they’d go down. Lots of the dragons I worked with blamed the beastclans, talking down about them like they weren’t here first. Still, I don’t know about any rocs or harpies that could tear those cables in two, despite the numbers of times I found them shredded in the cracked mud.
“This isn’t Earthshaker’s desert. It doesn’t have the feel of ‘old and forgotten’ or some tolerant but unforgiving place- the Expanse doesn’t want us here, and in order to stay at all we have to defy the very nature around us. Pump in water, pump in power, import food, shutter doors, lock windows, hope the sandstorm doesn’t get into any of the more delicate equipment.
“Towns outside the Spire aren’t so much towns as they’re often fortresses. Barricades against that spiteful desert. They pop up most of the time along the railroad routes.
“I mean, sure, I’ve heard of groups that live with the desert- respect it and comfort it so that it accepts them- but those clans must be more nomadic than not. That’s the only real alternative. Sometimes in the Canyon you’ll pass old mud walls- long abandoned but undisturbed by the same desert that rots and erodes everything else. As if, in exchange for the people’s devotion, the desert will keep their dwellings just as they were in case the people come back.
“The territory is rife with technology, but people often seem to forget that like lightning itself, the magic out here is raw, untamed- violent. You either live in the Spire, or you don’t. You’re either a fighter, or you’re not. Either way, there are no half-measures out here. There’s no moderation. It’s all, or nothing.”

Hey! I was wondering if you still had your creepy mask salesman skin up to buy?
You can ask to be added to the ping list for it in my accent shop on fr!
Some dragons will tell you that it’s impossible for them to exist. Some clerics have lived their entire life beseeching their god and have heard nothing, how could this be true? Throughout draconic history the topic has been hushed, lauded, condemned, and scoffed at. But if you ask the right people, you might find out you’ve already met a demigod.
The secret is not widely known outside of certain Exalted circles, but the most famous demigod in Sornieth is the Mirror named Joxar. He is the son of the Windsinger, and although his early history is unknown, these days he uses his divinely powerful talents to appear every month and spread the joy of elemental festivals. How else, surprisingly accurate conspiracy theorists argue, could he produce the endless quantity of apparel every month? And why does a lowly Mirror have such connection to the gods to bring to the masses their entourage, their eyes, their acolytes, their… attack bears?
In the modern era, the existence of sons and daughters of the deities is mostly dismissed as a fairy tale, or at worst condemned as blasphemy, but the few who have gotten it right have learned a little. The Windsinger has the most mortal children – it’s just in his nature to enjoy companionship, god or not – but there are stories of demigod children of all the deities, even the melancholic Earthshaker and the distracted Arcanist. Other stories will claim that only some of the gods care to have such relations, although every god is known to don the appearance of a mortal and spend time with them. The Windsinger does it so regularly, in legend and stories of personal experience, that denying hospitality to a wind-eyed visitor is seen as horribly unlucky. But there are tales of the Flamecaller appearing in the midst of battle as an armored dragon with a blazing sword, the Lightweaver leading the applause from the back row of a lecture hall, the Tidelord wandering back alleys whispering prophecies. The constant influence of a god like the Stormcatcher does not seem to inspire as many tales, although by all reliable accounts he’s been infiltrating laboratories and workshops as a distinctly brilliant and notoriously impatient coworker or overseer and guiding the development of technology since the very beginning.
Among the gods there doesn’t seem to be any kind of taboo about mingling with mortals, even if it does lead to offspring. The current unknown, as researched by only a few enterprising Exalted historians, is whether there are or have ever been any demigod Beastfolk. So far, research is inconclusive.
Does anyone want to buy this beautiful cyan / royal / orchid boy? I’ll sell him for 20k to anyone who sends me a CR. He’s RTB too
