Daddy's Little Tulip

Promply just flps her hread on his shoulder and attempts to nap. What a spoiled little baby. She's making little grumpy fox noises back, ears flickering before she reached out out and papped his cheeks "Mmmn...!" she's just making whiny noises. 

     Oh, but you had to wonder. You just had to wonder to yourself as you coursed though the busy streets—Who was that endearing voice that whispered in your ear and persuaded you into meeting up with her? A peculiar type, she discussed briefly. Something of a mortician—which, yes, unnerved you to think about—but it was truly a thing you could overlook. She certainly sounded a delightful sort, and it wasn’t as if you were someone who could talk down about one’s profession. At the very worst, you were sure you could skedaddle before things turned too skeevy for you to handle. Who knew? Maybe she was cute as can be a lot of fun!

Her face went pink, pretty sure she was making a fool of herself. "Sorry, I'm from Japan, I'm still learning the language" oh god she probably sounded so choppy. "Thank you for coming, I'm very happy~"

"Oh dude- I should enter eating contest. I'd win so much stuff" and no one would see it coming, this suddenly sounds like a really good idea, why hasn't she thought about this before.

"Will ‘tis merc get bonus points if I brin’ a friend along fer th’ ride?" Not that he cares. The kid can handle himself. "To ‘tis bug lady, I mean. Not fer food, mind you." No, he get killed by his boss and her family if that happened. 

Ever so casually she flopped her head into his lap, rolling her body so she was on her back "Did I mention I'm legal" she makes a goofy kissy face, just playing around as her tail gave a little wag.

"You callin’ me fat?" That’s a new one. He’s been called muscular.. He puts down the crust and looks down at himself. Well you can’t tell through clothes but he’s not that big in the torso. He presses down on his shirt to get a shape. 

"I think I've mentioned at least ten times the fact I would happily be friends with benefits" she's teasing, and joking a little but this isn't new.

"…Ko. Ya tryin’ to kill me? I ain’t dealin’ wit’ those eight legged freaks again.." He shivers. He never gotten a bug phobia before but he sure as hell got one with that thing. "Liz ‘n I were goin’ after those thin’s awhile back.. ‘N.. I was th’ bait.." Liz’s whole family got into the mess too. Took their sweet time in killing it too.

With a poof of smoke after attaching the leaf to her head a tall woman sat there instead of her, munching away on a slice of pizza. "She looks like this 95% of the time, and like I said she's actually quite lazy. Plus you'll be working for her, not against her." she's teasing now, but gives him a gentle smile "You can decline the job of course, she'll find someone else eventually... Oh, I think she likes her men a little slimmer actually, she's more of a mother type" mother from hell-

Glancing up at Ko when she mention a potential client for him and smiles. “That’s fine, baby girl. Does ‘tis friend ‘o yers have a number I can call or a place we can meet up?” When in this world, he doubts any youkai wants to get in that mess. 

"You might have to prove to her that you're not just some silly human, no matter how much I vouch for you though, just as a warning" but yokai make great clients, they could even hand over some gold if they're satisfied enough. "She's also a Jorōgumo, a very powerful albeit lazy one, but try not to get entranced~"

"If ya ever lookin’ fer a job that pays real well. Go call up Lizzy. Because ‘o you, she’s gettin’ interested in these youkai’s insides. Doubt she’s any good in slicin’ ‘em up." And there has been strange happenings with youkai acting weird too. 

"Mm! If you don't mind working for tough attitude yokai I actually might have a suggestion for you" there's a surprising amount of yokai who actually don't want to get their hands dirty. "Human money is pretty easy to steal for yokai... I'd do it but I have slightly better morals than most" just slightly, she still makes fake money-

"If ya count wanderin’ in th’ forest fer some ugly demons." He never knew there were so many different eerie floating orbs and most of them can kill you if you’re not careful. But how the hell one suppose to tell the difference between an oni-bi and a hito-dama?

Munching away on some garlic bread she let out a hum. "I have to much spare time... I was thinking about getting a part time job, but I also have to apply to college. Think it would be worth it?" a pause "... The job I mean."

           Nika let out a small sigh and nodded. “Da, I think it smells bad too..” But hey, he couldn’t help the cravings. It would be a process to get over that. There was a pause, head tilting to the side. “—I wonder if you have a name. I’m Nika…~!” He wasn’t even really sure if foxes would understand him or not, but it was nice talking to someone.

She'd just let out a soft playful sound in reply, she'd stay quiet and let Nika vent to this mysterious little fox.

          What a weird twist of luck— to have some company in the midst of troubles. Even if it was just an animal…from as far as he was aware, at least. A few more drags were taken, hand continuing to softly pet the fox in his lap. And after a moment, he put his half-done cigarette out. “You probably don’t like that smell, da…?”

Her ear twitched hearing his comment, just letting out a little growl in agreement. It was not the sweet smell of her father's pipe, that was for sure.
