About 50% of the words she was talking about went right over Alastors head. He knew eventually in time technology would bloom into something more, but not by that much. Computers? Data? Sci-fi level shit? All foreign words to his dictionary. 

Letting out a quiet sigh of relief Alastor just laughed at himself. Nothing catches him off guard very often, but that certainly did a number on him! “Ah, so throwing it is it’s only weakness you say? Good to know! I will remember to not end up doing such a thing.”

Feeling someone inching closer next to himself voluntarily was a rare experience, but the warming aura from the angel was welcomed. Tilting his head in an intrigued state his voice let out a curious “Oh?” As his eyes watched the girl tap away on her device, about to show him what features it had.

Needlessly to say Alastor was once again surprised when his glance caught sight of part of himself stuck in the little screen. “Is this- some sort of mirror world? Hmm, I feel like I look a bit different compared to the reflections on the walls-” As the angel lifted the phone away from herself some more Alastor finally saw his entire self “-Oh that’s much better!”

The expressions on his face would warp into more confused smiles and grins as he looked at himself via the “mirror world”. Glancing over towards the angel in the photo he observed her changing the angle of her face a lot- “maybe I Should be doing that too?” Alastor would think to himself. 

Copying her facial moments something about this seemed a little bit familiar to him, he feels like he’s seen something like this before in other pictures. “Oh wait! I think I actually know what you’re supposed to do here!” Raising one of his claws in the frame, he tried out doing one those “peace signs” he’d recognize seeing. 

After a couple of moments of grinning broadly with his claws making a peace sign, he waited for the bright blinding light and a loud “click” to signify the picture was taken, just like back in his old life. Shifting his eyes back at the angel he asked through his grin “Did you take the picture yet? My claws are starting to ache.”

Oh man, this was definitely the entertainment of the century right here. Saiph could drink in his curiosity and amusement for hours! He was treating the device like it was some magical, powerful thing from another world. And it might as well be! 

A smile was still plastered on the angel’s face, watching his eager expressions change and reflect in the camera of the phone. Just when she thought it couldn’t get any better, Alastor managed to make a peace sign with his claws! “That’s my favorite thing to do too!” Even her voice had an invisible smile to it.

Following along with his gesture, she playfully stuck her tongue out and stood on her tippy toes to take a picture with him. Might as well make it memorable, right? Her fingertip pressed a small button on the side of the phone, making the quietest ‘snap’ sound. “And that’s all there is to it! You can also record stuff with it, kind of like how they record movies, but more simple and convenient.” 

She lowered the device slightly, pulling up the gallery before flashing the rows of pictures to him. Most of it was filled with what should be an illegal amount of snake pictures. “Then the picture is saved in here forever, pretty much. The good news is, if you want a physical print of it, that’s possible too!” There was so much to show him and so little time in a day! 

“Speaking of videos,” Saiph began, exiting the gallery and opening a red app with a ‘play’ button on it. “Here’s the biggest archive of videos to exist on this little tech world.” Some of the preview pictures had large lettering, strange exaggerated pictures, or looked like an animated cartoon. “Here’s where the fun part begins.” Alastor has no idea what he’s in for. 

She types something into the search bar quickly, fingers jittering with barely contained excitement. “What I’m about to show you was essentially hand made by some random person- or people- and it’s supposed to make you laugh, even if it looks a little weird. You’ll see what I mean.” 

Letting out an all too dramatic but playful “gasp” Alastor placed his hand on his chest, acting like he was offended,”Oh how you hurt me so! And here I thought we were getting along so well!” His voice cracked a bit into a laugh at the end of his sentence. “Don’t worry dear I know what you mean.”

When the angel brought up the so called “phone” thing, Alastors ears perked rather curiously, but he was still also a tad bit suspicious. This was foreign technology so he didn’t know what kind of powers the item might’ve possessed. Still, his curiosity peaked!

Taking up on the angels offer, he did indeed get a “closer look at it” by staring at the device while inching his head ever so closer to the object of interest. Out of context you could literally say he looked like a deer in the headlights. “So this so called “phone” thing you have, does it only play music?” Alastor did indeed have phones in his old life as well, but they were dubbed with much more challenging names, even then the devices they had for calling other people were much more- bulky. 

After observing how she used it earlier, Alastor did eventually poke at it, tapping the screen carefully, like it would blow up at any second. “Truly fascinating.” A couple of blind phone taps later Alastor managed to hit one of the “games” stored in the device, unfortunately since the sound was originally turned up so loud, the unexpected booming gaming music made the demon jump just a tiny bit. 

Not knowing what he did, the radio demon thought the worst,” I’m so terribly sorry my dear I think I might’ve broke it!” The static in his voice cracked once more, but in a more distressed tone. 

“Well aren’t you a funny one?” Her smile was wide, bemused with his dramatic show. She felt no reason to be cautious when showing him her advanced little device, holding it out for him to inspect and study. The fun part was not telling him what to do just yet. Her eyes were gleaming with joy, hand only slightly shaky from their earlier endeavors. 

Saiph’s gaze followed where-ever his gloved fingertips went, snickering when he inquired about the music thing. Not that she was judging Alastor for not knowing, but because she was always excited to show someone something new to them! “Nope! It might be a bit hard to explain since, well, you probably weren’t even close to the time when computers were invented. This is some next-level sci-fi shit for you probably.” 

“It plays music, you can play little virtual games on it, talk to people from all over the world through it, take pictures and record video-” Come to think of it, these types of phones could do lots with so little data or power, even. 

Jumping slightly along with the demon as game music blared, she just laughed loudly. Especially when he thought he broke it. It was so stupidly cute! 

Her harmonious laugh echoed off the walls of the room before dying down enough to reassure him. “I promise it isn’t broken!” She pulled the device back, swiping across the screen to close the game app. The sound promptly ended along with it. “You can’t really break it unless you just straight up throw it on the ground for the most part.” 

➸✧ How about we get an official starter call going? 

Listening to the angels cheeky comment about the dance speed, the room resounded with his distinctive laugh, he would then nod in acknowledgment to the girls instructions. Alastor was usually all about being proper and class; challenging at first his body continued to be pretty stiff in nature, but as the music continued vaporizing into the air, so did his proper nature.

The song itself was actually very catchy and pleasing, a couple times his own vocal cords would hum along with the chorus of the song as it played out. As the song became more intense along with his partners dancing, he couldn’t help but see an exciting gleam in the angels eyes. And that excited him as well. 

Inspired by the angels passion for the music, his grin couldn’t help but be full with enticement, each time their bodies would be pushed together it would feel just as intoxicating as before. What a daring little angel. 

As the song would reach to its final climax, Alastor couldn’t help but take control once more of light feathered girl, obviously she was feeling much more confident then before, a complete change of attitude from not so long ago. Sliding his claws around waist once more, his grasp would tighten. Pressing her chest to chest-  well perhaps more like chest to head, he would end up lifting the angel off the ground, spinning her around once more as sharpen claws would almost sink into her skin. After the finale of such a spin, he’d gently place the angel back onto her feet.

Vague, but heavy breathing could be heard from Alastor. What a rush! Looking into his eyes the demon looked rather- dare I say breathless? “For such a sweet thing you have quite the energy! Never have I had a dancing partner filled with such inspiration before!” After a couple more breaths, his voice finally came back at full volume. “Would you like to take a break my dear?” 

Realizing their bodies were still flushed together, Alastor cleared his throat and took a couple steps back, letting go of the angels now warm hands.  

Time seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, every twist and turn somehow more fun than the last. To dance with someone with a well-known reputation like his was exciting to Saiph. It shouldn’t be, but it was- she could even say she felt privileged. The true definition of irony would be that the famed radio demon was showing more respect and kindness to her than other demons in Hell. 

Spending leisurely time with Alastor was only piquing her curiosity! It had been quite a long time since she was able to enjoy herself with company- most likely years. He was certainly lucky to see a more playful side of her so soon after their meeting! 

As he placed his hand back on her waist, an eyebrow quirked in anticipation for what he’d planned- and that’s when she felt herself be lifted into the air during a spin. A rather embarrassing flurry of giggles came from her, hands gripping around his own waist for added support. She even allowed her wings to unfurl slightly; if someone else was there it would’ve been quite the dramatic show. 

Everything in her body tingled with a small rush of adrenaline, from her feet all the way to the tip of her head! Dancing was enough to leave anyone breathless. “Oh stop,” She let out a breathy laugh, waving her hand playfully. “If you keep bein’ friendly with me I might actually end up liking you-” Of course, she didn’t realize the implications of what she had said until it actually came out of her mouth. 

“I mean! I already like you, uh- that wasn’t really worded correctly.” And now it was too awkward for her try and redeem herself from such a bold statement. Speaking of awkward, she didn’t process how she was still completely up against him until his throat cleared, and she parted from him hastily.“Oh uh, yes! I’d love to take a break.” Too bad that burst of confidence was short-lived, replaced by her flustered ass way of making conversation. 

The expression on Alastors face was completely clueless as he observed the angel playing around with some sort of- magic touch box? He didn’t mention anything about it, just stood there feeling kinda dumbfounded. Perhaps a topic for another time. 

Not saying much at all while his companion was browsing songs on her strange device, Alastor just continued grinning delightfully nodding to everything she was saying. His head tilted at the funny dance comment. Those weren’t much of a topic from where he came from, so he was a tad suspicious. But he still went along with whatever was next to come.

As a hand was offered to him, his claws traveled their way back to the pale fingers, grasping them in a gentle fashion. His ears did indeed perk up to the tune of the song, it was clearly something unique, like nothing he’s ever heard before. The quality of the song was even more fascinating to him, there was no extra white noise to be heard. 

“What intriguing music!” his voice was filled with utter fascination. Tightening his grasp on the angels hand, his smiled beamed. “I’m ready when you are my dear! I’ll try my best to not trample you over or anything.” He let out a playful wink.

She shot the demon a brief glance, lavender eyes shining with amusement. Of course he had never seen a phone- or a computer. Her mind could easily be swept away in the amount of things she would show or explain to him. There was so much potential! Essentially, she had found some free real estate. 

It also made him slightly less intimidating- the radio demon staring at a phone like a deer in the headlights (pun intended). “It’s nice isn’t it?” Saiph hummed a bit more, mentally calculating the direction they were going to move in. Despite her eagerness, she still didn’t really know how to dance- especially to this song. But damn if she wasn’t going to try and wing it. 

She quietly placed her phone next to his radio on the table. “We’ll go kind of like we did before- slow,” She took a playful jab at him! Progress! “And wider strides. Almost like a waltz, but more relaxed. No obligation to be stiff, exact, or proper.” After that, she guided him a few steps back, gently pulling him along as the lyrics flowed through the air. 

A hidden amused chuckle escaped his voice, the extremely dizzy angel couldn’t help but make Alastor crack up a bit. Seeing as she was in fact enjoying herself despite twisting her around like a madman. 

“Indeed it’s much like what you describe! Unfortunately for me I need to be careful with controlling myself, I fear much more furniture would’ve been bumped into if I didn’t stop myself!” 

Intrigued by the angels offer of course he couldn’t refuse, it’d be a new experience! Something he’s never done before! His radio waves couldn’t help but laugh even more as he listened to the way his visitor was stumbling all over her words, drastically do her best to not be offensive in anyway. 

Kindly taking one of her hands once more Alastor had an exciting look in his eyes,” Oh I’d love to my dear! No one has offered me such actives before! Ah- But I forgot one thing-” Continuing to hold onto her hand his body turned a bit, proceeding to do a courteous bow, “-usually after a dance like that the two partners do a small gesture of appreciation like so, to signify the end of the dance.”

Letting go of his partners hand once more, he turned back to look within her eyes, awaiting for more information about how her dancing world was like.

Slowly but surely, the room became steady in her vision. She sighed, relieved to see the effects of all the twirling finally leaving. “Yeah, we could’ve spun right out of the room.” Saiph snickered at the thought. 

It didn’t surprise her this time when Alastor’s hand grabbed her’s, watching curiously as he bowed. Oh, she had seen this before! She nodded her head, giving a slight curtsy in return. “Your laugh and smile is very contagious.” There was no particular reason for her sudden compliment, sometimes she just wants people to know what she likes about them... subtly. 

After their hands parted, the angel reached into the pocket of her shorts to pull out a small device- her phone. For a moment, she thought about messing with him; playing him a silly song and trying to pass it off as a good one. Perhaps she hadn’t reached that level of playfulness with him just yet. 

“Well, I’ll start out with a song I always wanted to dance to with somebody,” She began, scrolling through her endless list of songs passing by on her screen. “Then maybe after that one, I can show you a more... funny dance I learned.” That’s all she would leave it at. All she could say was... it’d definitely be worth the wait. 

Her slender finger gently pressed down on the desired song, clicking a button on the side to turn up the volume a nice amount- almost as loud as the radio! “It’s called Bernadette. I think you might like it, actually.” Secretly, it was one of her favorite songs, and she was internally ecstatic to share it with him. Though, her expression on the outside remained relatively calm.
