it's taking care of someone in the same way to me and i think regardless of how far into d/s we take it (though it CAN be precisely exemplifying service submission), it's something that centers that ilya likes playing games of no-yes-no and likes being playful and likes having his independence and free choice respected.

and if we think about the way ilya was in the clubs w women, i would say that the tundra predator playing talking games is front and center in all the sexual interactions we see ilya in. and ilya is never the prey, even when someone surprises him in his own house in the dark/he's in emotional distress/he's overcome/etc. ilya is doing the stalking and the taking and the ascertaining that everyone is having a good time, even if they say no, with a little twinkle in their eye.
