St. Jimmy

''Yeah, that's just why I like you,'' Jimmy said with a wink, ''I don't like a lot of people, remember that.'' As her eyes widened, Jimmy's smile grew bigger and he laughed brightly. ''Calm down J.D,'' he chuckled, gently taking the gun from her hand, ''The safety is on anyhow, I'm not that dim,'' he smiled, placing his other hand on her cheek, ''I wouldn't do anything to hurt you, promise, cross my heart!'' He stood up straighter, taking the gun and tracing a cross over his chest.

JD smirked at his comment as he explained himself. “Well, I don’t think I’m the best person to ask that. I find the punk look pretty sexy. Gives you a sort of mysterious air. Don’t get that too often.” She replied, hardly catching the coat as he threw it to her. She pulled it on and glanced down at herself. “This thing is like three sizes too big…gotta say that if I was normal and saw someone wearing this walking down the street, I’d avoid them.” 

''Sexy and mysterious? Yeah that sounds like me,'' he laughed, ''Not that people are usually so open about it with me.''' Jimmy smiled as she pulled on his jacket, approaching her and lifting the collar with a slight nod of approval. ''I like it, but I'm hardly normal either. I think it suits you, gives off a sort of edgy vibe,'' he winked. ''But like I said, the look is only half the battle, check the pocket,'' he said, eyes flicking down to where he kept his gun.

JD nodded her head a bit. She supposed it made sense for him to have a gun. Never wanted to be cheated. “You know, you’re going to have to show me the ropes. I mean, I know how to pull a trigger, but I don’t really know much else…I suppose all I need to know is how to load it and cock it…” She replied, standing up.

''Course I will, I'm your teacher after all,'' he laughed. ''But first you gotta look the part, that's half the battle won. You want a look that says, 'I don't give a shit, so don't start anything with me'. Like me, you think people even approach me when I dress like a punk?'' Jimmy continued, walking over to a chair with a trenchcoat draped over the seat, throwing it to J.D, ''Can't make any promises to how clean that thing is though.''

There was another long moment of silence from the conflicted teenager. He was right. With every word he said, he was right. She could practice. She could decide not to. He was better than the kids at school. She did want revenge. “…I’m guessing you have a gun. I mean, I should probably practice on my aim if I’m going to do this shit.” 

''You'd be guessing right. Though not for murderous reasons,'' Jimmy grinned. ''I'm no maniac. It's for protection, you need it in a job like mine.'' Though that wasn't to say he hadn't used it for 'murderous reasons'. ''You wanna practice? Never a better time, you focus great when you're off your face,'' he laughed, jumping up excitedly.

Jimmy couldn't help but chuckle, ''Don't sell yourself short there J.D, you gotta have a little confidence,'' he winked. ''Besides, we can practice. And you can always wimp out if you don't want to do it, we can plan some other way of teaching those assholes a lesson,'' he smirked. ''Look, I ain't exactly a saint, but I'm betting that I trump those bitches any day. I look out for people, it's my job. I get people what they really want, but think they're not allowed to have. And I know you want revenge.''

      “Is it any good?”

''Course it is, I'm no second rate drug dealer, kid.''

Jimmy shrugged, smiling slowly as her words trailed off, ''Oh,'' he nodded with a short chuckle, ''And to think I doubted you, you are smart,'' he grinned. ''J.D, the world isn't gonna give you what you want. You gotta take it. You want people to stop being dicks, make them. Kill them, don't kill them, whatever, it doesn't matter! Just make them stop.''
