Backstage Hallway & Lamiroir's Dressing Room
After the crowd had been let go, Klavier met with Ema, Apollo & Trucy in the backstage hall. He made Apollo & Ema sign a Investigation Request, forbidding them from telling anyone, even Lamiroir about the cause of death and the fact it was a murder.
With the police not wanting them at the scene of the crime, Apollo and Trucy began their search with the hallway. First potential clue is a headset, still on, sitting between the two dressing rooms. Finding nothing new in The Gavinners' dressing room (or anybody), as well as nobody in the the wings of the stage, they go to the scene of the crime, hoping Ema will let them investigate. After some begging, she agrees, as long as she keeps a stern eye on them.
Apollo wonders if the killer escaped through the air vents, due to there being a step ladder just underneath. Ema agrees that that is a possibility, but the killer would've had to be really small to fit in there. Trucy spots a glittering brooch on the floor, asking Ema if she can have it, and tells her not to temper with the evidence, as Apollo questions why it looks so familiar to him.
Ema & Apollo heard two gunshots, which are both accounted for with two bullet holes in the wall, one that must've missed, and the other must've gone clean through Letouse, due to the murder weapon being a powerful 45-caliber revolver. Apollo glances at the now-silent speaker above the door, thinking to himself about how the realtime feed of the concert made it hard for him to hear Letouse's last words.
The three move to the right side of the room to take a closer look at the body. The first clue they find is his left hand clasped tight around a keyring, one that surely didn't look like it was his. Next they find some strangely smeared blood in front of him, and finally they look at the murder weapon, which Trucy remarks looks like the type of gun only police are allowed to have, and that such a powerful gun being brought in here must mean this was a planned murder.
They ask Ema what she knows about Letouse, and all she knows is he and Lamiroir are both from Borginia, and that this was his first time in the country, and that they're still waiting on any more info about him from the Borginian Embassy.
They take a look at the tiny window in the back of the room, which can only be opened a crack, much too small for anyone to sneak out from.
They ask Ema what she knows about the murder weapon, and she finds it quite odd that such a powerful and deadly gun was used at such close range, and that the recoil is so powerful it could dislocate an inexperienced shooter's shoulder.
Ema asks the two of them to wait there while she leaves to go report the evidence they found. The two quickly get bored, and leave to continue their own investigation, nearly bumping into a magician who quickly runs off.
