A birthday gift for ars-daemonum of their OC Sai.EXE and boy oh boy look at this CUTIE! I hope you like it buddy! owo
Newest for Sai! I need to draw him normally again, I miss experimenting with him ;~;
And outta nowhere, suddenly Sai!
I wanted to see if I could squeeze him into the Starforce world, but that got me wondering on how a Navi could make it through countless generations and that led me to the conclusion that he was indeed passed down, but eventually forgotten with the wave of technology, meaning some meddling child ends up finding him and finds out he can wave change with him.Â
Every time I draw him I feel like the animal heâs based on is some sort of rodentâŚ
{{I haven't drawn him properly in a while |D }}

She gave his hand a light, reassuring squeeze. âItâs my pleasure.âÂ
"Oh, donât worry about it at all. I was really bored. Writing reports is no fun. Iâd much rather meet new friends." She laughed lightly herself, "Well, I dunno, these halls are quite strange, and a lot of the maps available are outdated."
Sai held back a small sound at the back of his throat as he waited for the systems to register the action properly, and nodded again.Â
"If you were bored, why don't you just take a walk around?" he asked, head cocked to the side. "Surely there's more than enough halls to walk around here, and if you get lost, that could be good in its own way by letting you explore a bit."Â
{{Kept thinking about older Sai for kicks...}}
"Here, take my hand. You seem a little unsteady." She said gently, offering her hand at a distance where he could take it, but it wouldnât be awkward if he didnât.
She was a bit concerned for the navi. A broken PET and no netop to be seen?
Sai hesitantly let his hand slide into the other's, the other gripping the cracked handle of the aforementioned device. "T-thanks for doing this," he spoke, finally able to talk louder than a whisper.Â
"Sorry for intruding like I did, I should've come prepared with a map myself." He giggled to lighten the mood a bit, he knew he would bring things down otherwise.Â
Dingo couldnât help but smile at Saiâs words : he knew that he was being a little hard on his Navi, but Tomahawkman wasnât exactly being nice all the time either ⌠This was still no time to start a fight, and welcomed Saiâs words with an even larger grin : âThatâs great ! Iâm curious to see what kind of parts the shop sells âŚâ He paused, casting a look at the crowd around : âAnd I donât really like this place either, to be honest âŚâ
Tomahawkman didnât miss this new occasion to be sarcastic : âAre you actually afraid of something, Dingo ? May I remind you that youâre human as well ?â Laughing lightly to prove that he meant no harm, the Navi then stretched out a hand towards the direction that Sai had been indicating sooner : âAnyway, letâs move on ! The path seems to be clearing, and donât worry, Sai, weâll protect you in case anything happens !â Tomahawkman was always acting like a battle could start at any time âŚ
The Navi nodded, grabbing the strings on either side of his hoodie and tightening them out of nerves. "A-alright!" he said, trying his best to cover the evident weakness in his voice. Sai pumped his fist in mock excitement, hoping it would serve to give him the push to truly experience the vigor he was speaking of. Regardless, the thought of traversing the crowd was terrifying; the friends he'd wander the 'Net with in a large crowd would hold his tail as to not get lost, but that couldn't be done here.Â
"S-so it shouldn't be too far off," the Navi stammered, already walking off toward the shop. At least the window displays of other stores were interesting to look at, all the bright advertisements for the goods lifted his mood somewhat. He reached up and brushed his bangs back, huffing as he did so.
"Oh, I see!" She stood up, "Here, let me take you there while I transfer you the map."Â
"Role, map of Scilabs please." She asked her navi. Role brought it up, and as she went to the door, Pen pointed it at Saiâs copybot. The stream of data entered his memory banks.Â
"There you go!" She entered the hall and waited for Sai to join her.
He made an unintelligible sound as he felt the data being stored in his banks, a tingling sensation filling his artificial mind as part of it refreshed for him to be able to use the map. Sai nodded gratefully and straightened up, following the other.Â
So far, he could recall how he got here, but getting to the wing he needed to would be rather difficult, and without a guide, even the map could prove to only be so useful. He finally stood outside the doorway, brushing his jacket off and attempting to stand steady before them.Â

              "Itâs alright. : ) You arenât the first to do so," the brunet patted the Navi on the shoulder with the Smile. There was no harm at all with messing up. Heck, even Silabus made mistakes too⌠That often results in some kind of PKer chasing him down an Area. Not fun mind you.
                  âI canât leave this spot just yet if you want to be in a party with me, but hereâŚâ the Blade Brandier gifted Sai a Fairy Orb, âThis is a Fairy Orb. Normally Root Towns have a map that automatically appears, but if itâs not working for you right now, just use this item and the map should appear. This is used mostly in other Areas outside the Root Towns, but this should do the trick. Go ahead and use it.â
Ah, that was good then! Or at least Sai thought it was-- it was difficult for him to believe that what he asked was inquired before he even got here, but now that the other said it, it was completely believable. He almost jumped as he was touched, but tried as hard as he could to keep from becoming jittery; everyone here was someone behind a screen and couldn't feel things like he did.Â
Sai took the item given to him, feeling it in his hands. He wasn't sure how normal AIs would feel these sorts of items before bagging them, but the warmth easily spread through his fingertips. Some part of him lamented that most others would never get this feeling in their lives, and appreciated his ability even more. At least, until he got into the fields. "Ah, thank you, sir!" he beamed, looking up at the other. "I'm just wondering though, would there be any good fields for gaining levels if I'm a newcomer?"
He sighs loudly and flops down, all cares going to the wind. The Navi's too tired to deal with much today.Â
Sai doesn't even care that he's on the main walkway at the moment.Â
Ars you donât have a submit well here have another bishie bishie Sai
Dingo had still enough humour to laugh at his own unability to understand maps as a whole : âI donât even want to imagine what hand-drawn maps look like ! But Iâm sure I can trust you, Navis are supposed to have a good sense of direction, after all âŚâ The boy cast a side glance to his Navi, seeming quite reproachful.
The obvious attempt at offending Tomahawkman didnât miss : âHey, I didnât program myself ! Blaming one of my traits is basically blaming yourself !â The Naviâs expression softened again when he looked back at Sai : âSorry about this, we still have a long way to go until we get along ⌠Do you mind if we tag along at the store you want to visit ?â There was no end to his curiousness, and he didnât think for a single second that their presence might actually bother Sai âŚ
"I can vouch that not every Navi has an impeccable sense of direction," Sai replied, raising his hand somewhat. He could recall multiple occurrences where he'd gotten not only himself, but his Operator lost as well. It's not like he could do anything to begin with, when told to navigate the real world-- They're called Net Navis for a reason, he thought, but decided against saying it out loud.Â
He shook his head. "I don't mind you guys tagging along at all! I actually think that's preferable," A quick glance around the mall, and back at them proved to be useful, the crowd seemed to be moving away from where they'd be headed. "Large groups of humans scare me now and then," he admitted under his breath.
Ď â ; âI take it you werenât designed for combat, then?âÂ
He was just guessing, of course. Most navis that can fight a bunch or viruses, unless of course the hoard is particularly bigâŚ
He didnât get to hear that too often- âitâs a pleasureâ- at least not directed at him- so he was taken by surprise, and just stared at Sai for a moment, before coming back to reality.Â
"âŚUh, yeah. Itâs nice to meet you, tooâŚ"
"Y-yeah," he replied, "fighting wasn't exactly the first thing on my programmer's mind..."
Sai supposed the other Navi was friendly enough; he stopped getting the threatening vibe since they started talking. Guess judging a book by its cover wasn't just a phrase his Operator tossed around anymore.Â
Tilting his head a bit, he relaxed his brow. "It's always nice to meet anyone, s'good to have new faces show up once in a while..."Â

"Who do you need to speak with?" She asked, "Or maybe the better question is, what do you need to know?" She knew fairly well all the comings and goings of the place, so if it were a simple enough problem, maybe she could even solve it on her own.
ââŚ.Um, are you alright?â She examined his face worriedly, âI donât bite, I promise.â sheâd thought it was just a bit of newbie jitters, but he seemed ready to bolt off.
âI have the map here, and my navi can transfer it to your files in a jiffy if you like.â
Sai took a breath before answering, hands gripping the hem of the sweatshirt tightly now. "I-I was told to come here to speak with one of the computer engineers, the PET I'm usually housed in has a minor defect..." He was tempted to motion to the copybot he was currently using, but decided to stuff his hands into his pockets.Â
"A map would be greatly appreciated, actually," he said quietly, looking back down at the floor. The Navi tried to relax himself, at least bring the motors in the 'bot to a halt for the time being.Â
He took a quick breath to steady the normal functions, and let his gaze go back up to meet the other's.Â
Confused for a moment, Dingo eventually understood the difference that Sai had pointed out : âNow I get it ! Secondhand means already used, but theyâre still the official brand âŚâ He grinned at Sai : âI was right to think that you didnât look like someone whoâd use an illegal Copybot ! Because the knock-offs are illegal, right ?â
The boyâs eyes focused on the spot that Sai was pointing at : âGood job ! Now weâll just have to find the actualy shop, but it doesnât seem too far from here âŚâ He squinted his eyes a little at the map, trying his best to understand which direction they were supposed to take : âI still donât understand why people find maps so useful ⌠I canât even decide if we have to go right or left âŚâ
Sai chuckled lightly at Dingo's remark, no use in trying to hold it in. "Well, I'll admit some human maps are confusing to look at, especially the hand drawn type..." He shook his head. "Nothing that's not useful though, if you know how to use it, it'll be easy!" The Navi grinned.Â
"I think it's a left from here," he spoke, turning his head to look down the crowded hall. At least the mob seemed to be dispersing a bit; must be lunch or something, with his luck. Hopefully, this would mean a much easier passage for the group. "I'm starting to think of looking into parts for this thing as well, I may end up spending my money on that, come to think of it..."
