I started sewing because I love Liberty fabrics.

Every few years, I suddenly get the urge to use my sewing machine and make something. 🤭

This time, I made a winter dressing gown.

The material I liked most happened to be padded, and my old dressing gown was getting rather worn out, so the timing was perfect. 😉👍🫶

I worked it out by watching and copying what I could 😂😹

It looked simple enough, but it was surprisingly tricky. 🤨

I used a completely different part of my brain and just got totally absorbed in it!

I even turned the leftover fabric into a little pet toy with some hand stitching.

Ahhh, that was fun! 🙌😽🍀

I knew about calico cats… but tortoiseshell cats too?!

While everyone in France heads off on their summer holiday, I’m enjoying my usual summer routine—a bit of DIY! 🤭😽

Since it’s the kitchen floor, I’ve been painting it right before bed. It took several days, but because it’s only a small project, I managed it! 🙌🍀

It’s amazing how just changing the floor colour can boost my mood so much! 🫶😽🤭

I knitted & crocheted this little flower collar for her as a birthday present. 🧶🌼

I don’t usually cook very much, but the weather has finally become a little cooler, so I baked some homemade scones for the first time in a while. 🫖😺

I paired them with an iced chai.

This year’s super El Niño seems to be bringing unusual weather around the world.

Even our little fig tree on the balcony lost all its leaves during the heat in May.

After replacing the soil, healthy new leaves have finally appeared, which is such a relief. 🌿

Europe has been hot and dry, while parts of Asia have been facing heavy rain.

We humans can adapt, but I do worry about forests and nature. 🍀

Supposed to look after the cat Marmite (He is the real black cat, black as Marmite!), and we did feeding him well, but I couldn’t manage to take a photo of him…!

But I am sure he remembers me at least…
