Where Trolls go to Die

Dosime and Anoxia are friends. They have fun together. Commit some crimes. Good stuff.

But one day.

One day a glove rips. It’s not even noticable. They’re having too much fun.

But Dosime oversteps the edge of the roof where they’re throwing paint at seadwellers on the harbor below.

Anoxia reaches out--and grabs her hand. Can’t let her friend fall!

Then, realizing what happened, she drops the dead weight to the ground.

As in pay me for every friendship-like interaction we have starting at $10 a sentence.

“Look, Mauthe.” Starting up that this couldn’t be gentle. She was gentle beforehand. “I’m grown-up now. This isn’t some sort of romcom movie where you can be pathetic and I’ll hate you all over again. I moved on. And cleaning yourself up isn’t helping. Being pathetic and gross won’t rekindle this romance. I can’t even associate with you anymore because you’re doing this--look. Once upon a time we had a thing and like how the plant grows it changes, blooms, and dies. But this isn’t an annual bloom that will come back. It’s just dead.”

Mauthe didn’t even say anything in return. Sure, his broken-hope eyes stung to see, Veekoh isn’t heartless, but...

Enough is enough.

He leaves without a word. Veekoh closes the door.

Still hurts to hurt someone else so much. Hurts to make someone else cry--probably because she really cared about him...
