Distance

A cloud above my head,

Of regrets and fears,

Drops of sadness,

Sometimes I drown in all this thoughts,

And I can’t see clearly, darkness blinds me,

You are next to me,

Feels like miles away,

So hard to reach you,

Heavy sensation of a barrier,

And I cry,

Tears are like fire,

Wearing out the foundation that keeps us together,

I sense it weaker,

Hoping to be just my imagination,

Will it last?

Do you feel me close? Or why do I feel you outside of my heart?

Get closer,

I hate picturing you out in the wild, far away from my arms, far away from your warmth,

I find no peace in seeing you fearing,

I’m not at ease feeling you so cold.
