Maggie Nelson’s Bluets is the most profoundly moving literature I’ve read this summer. The “premise” of the book was to write a comprehensive encyclopedia on the color blue, in actuality we are gifted these deeply touching glimpses at loss, intimacy, mourning and sex through the color blue.

I’ve read through this book 3 times already this summer and highly highly recommend it to anyone visual. It manages to articulate what attracts me photographing the distance of blue in landscapes.
