✖╟ 🎩 ╢✖                                Her hands must be STONE COLD;                           every negligible fringe and crook of her tracing fingertips                       slipping over the valleys of his arched muscles makes him want to SHUDDER,                    like she’s just submerged her arms in ice water directly before reaching out to touch him                                                                          and he’s hyper aware of each passing movement.                       He won’t say anything, though.                                                          Not for now.                                 Perhaps he’ll consider taking the opportunity to propose he WARM her set of ashen hands between his own in a short while.                          But right now, he’ll withstand any mild discomfort caused by the acute decrease in body temperature.

                                He incessantly covets the feeling of her fingers ghosting his body, so he doesn’t really mind it that much.                                    Her touch is like satin. He’ll forgive the frigidity that                                    accompanies her sentimental caresses.

                                The contented hum that escapes his throat must have been brazenly audible to her from where she lies beside him, and he suspects she can sense his tranquil SMILE without him needing to turn to face her in what little shred of moonlight is seeping through the cuts in the blinds.

                          Not like he’s worried about her damaging it.                          The pipe has certainly proven it can take a                           beating by this point, and it seldom ends                           up with a single visible scratch.

                                    Seems peculiar for a kid of their age to not know about Santa, but maybe that much is to be expected from Shou. Everything about her is a little bit mysterious and a little bit strange; she’s constantly saying bizarre things, her mannerisms aren’t always what you would call entirely normal at times, and her background is still a completely untold secret to her older brothers.

                                                                 …Well, maybe he has scarce right to talk about that last one.

                                Then again, perhaps her knowing squat about Saint Nicholas seems kind of appropriate.

                                       ❝Yeah, I guess it’s something like that.                                  Parents tell their kids that this guy in red with a huge gut and a white fluffy beard visits their houses on December twenty-fifth and brings them toys if they behave how they want them to.❞

                                     Even if it’s pretty childish to expect him to genuinely believe that the old guy is actually real for himself, something about blatantly admitting to his baby of a sister that the infamous Father Christmas is just a made-up story feels kinda cruel. It’s like he’s doing her youth disservice by being truthful on the matter.                              Would it be kinder to pretend he just doesn’t know if he’s real or not? Most kids find the idea of being visited by Santa to be one of the most highly anticipated events of the whole year, so maybe he should let her experience that childish wonder just for a little while?

                        …Then again, it’s not like he has the means to make it believable for her anyway.                      Shou adores her fairytales more than anyone else her ten-year-old brother has ever known. If she’s going to believe in just another fairy tale, it’s probably easier to just leave her be instead of crushing that small dream for her. If she’s mature enough to realize it’s only a story, then that’s fine too. It’s probably okay for Sabo to leave his answers a little bit ambiguous and for her to come up with her own conclusion based on what he’s said.
