Now when did Atticus get here? She doesn’t remember him being there when she laid down to get a little sleep in the afternoon sun—although Nocturne has never been hailed for her memory in the first place. Smiling gently, she leans down, burying her nose affectionately in his hair, and presses her gentle fingers to the sides of his jaw.
"…Atticus?"
{ ☾ } He twitches in his sleep, brow wrinkling and nose bunching as her tender nuzzling pulls him to reality, slowly but surely. "Nnh---" Reflexively, Atticus burls a little tighter in on himself, snuggling into the warmth of her body to preserve his own for as long as possible. But then she's calling his name, which finally summons the cat's consciousness. Golden hues flutter open, blinking rapidly as sleepy tears gather in the corners. Lifting his face some, Atticus looks up at Nocturne, letting out a small, long yawn. "Mh...mornin'---" Was it even morning? He didn't know..
